This is a great tour of the old town area including several religious sites, archaeological sites, as well as a sampling of the local culture and life in the city. We stopped at a local establishment where we had samples of olive oil, butter, honey, and several other yummy Greek foods / toppings. Our guide, George, was outstanding and so knowledgeable. He tailored the tour to the things that we found most interesting. We elected to extend the tour and drive up into the mountains to go to a farm to table restaurant that cooks everything on open fire. The restaurant recommendation was provided by our guide and it was excellent. We had a sampling of all the dishes they serve. Thankfully, the guide helped us with the ordering😊. We highly recommend this tour.

We had an amazing experience with George . He is well knowledgeable on Crete and was able to guide on more of the local experience with dining . We would have never been able to experience some of Cretes local stores in the Old Town with out George. The walk was comfortable and covers a lot of the town . He went above and beyond with our group . Totally recommend George when visiting Crete , and would recommend to book him in your first few days so you get real good understanding of the area and recommendations for the rest of your trip .

Our family of five, including my teenage kids and my mother-in-law, were on a cruise with Royal Caribbean. As part of our cruise, we wanted to make sure we had a chance to see each of the ports and learn about the amazing history. We decided to book private tours to avoid the large tour bus experience and have a more intimate adventure. Our stop in Chania did not disappoint. We arrived off the boat early in the morning and met George, who was super knowledgeable and friendly. He drove us down to Old Town Chania and introduced us to our guide Zoe. Zoe was awesome from the start. She personalized our tour, ensuring all of us were comfortable with the pace and answering all our questions. She took us all through Chania, explaining the history, culture, and architecture. We learned a great deal and had the chance to explore Chania with our small group at our own pace. After the tour, Zoe returned us to the port area, and we selected Zepos for lunch. The local food was great, and the view of the port was fantastic. After lunch, George picked us back up and drove us back to the ship. On the way, he stopped at the Allied War Cemetery in Souda Bay and explained Greece's history with the World Wars. He was extremely knowledgeable. For any World War history enthusiasts, make sure to book a tour with George when you visit Crete. All five of our family members loved the tour and enjoyed our time in Crete. Highly recommended

A great tour by an excellent tour guide! George was very intelligent, knowledgeable, kind, and accommodating (very important for us as two of our party have mobility issues). George took us to the highlights of the area and made the experience a memorable one. Though the vehicle was somewhat cramped for five, we would highly recommend it to others!
