Our guide for snorkeling with Maybe Tours in Cozumel was AMAZING. This was our first time, and my husband and I struggled in the beginning, me even starting to have a panic attack. Our guide in the water was so calm and collected, immediately came to me and helped me and calmed my nerves. He stayed with me until I was able to do it on my own. He made us feel very safe, which is so needed in an adventure excursion. They took such good care of us, and it was one of the greatest experiences of my life. Also, the underwater photographer was a great touch we werent expecting. Even though we brought a GoPro, he got images of the both of us that we never could've gotten on our own. HIGHLY recommend.

The whole group had eight people (us and other six Americans from Kansas*). Carlos and Gustavo (guide and captain of the Maite III) were very attentive and concerned with our safety. I don't swim and Carlos gave me support until I was comfortable with the equipment. He also helped a lot in pointing he more relevant sights (including sharks!). Snacks were delicious! I should note that I misunderstood the location information and thought I would arrive at walking distance from the Marina and this was not the case for the Ultramar Ferry. *If you see this, sorry for not saying goodbye properly!!! I thought we would meet after leaving the boat and I could not find you. :(

I am writing to express my disappointment regarding the recent cancellation of our catamaran tour, for which we received no prior notification. We were not informed the night before, and if a message was sent, it may not have come through due to the unreliable Wi-Fi on our cruise ship. As a result, we took a taxi ($10) to the designated meeting point, only to discover from other waiting passengers that the tour had been canceled without any official communication. We then had no choice but to take another taxi back, incurring an additional $10 expense. Given the lack of notice and the unnecessary transportation costs we incurred, I respectfully request a refund of $20 to cover the round-trip taxi fare. I believe this is a fair request under the circumstances, and I hope you will consider it promptly. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your response.

The beginning was a bit shady. Got to the office at the marina and they couldn’t find our 10 AM reservation. I had my ticket on my phone but that didn’t seem to matter. Finally found our reservation but had us down for 12 noon even though my ticket was for 10 AM which was clearly stated on ticket. We were on a cruise and the 12 o clock time would cut it far too close. Man working the counter said they were full so they moved our reservation. After much conflict and back and forth they were able to get us out on a boat around 1045. Once we started the snorkeling experience it was much above our expectations! Our boat crew was fantastic and we were able to see sea turtles, barracuda, many tropical fish, sting rays, starfish and even a nurse shark. Definitely recommend the excursion just not sure if I’d book another Viator excursion if on a cruise with limited time since it seems our reservation time didn’t really matter to the company and was a lot of stress and back in forth with someone who couldn’t understand us and we couldn’t understand him with language barriers.

Will start out by saying the planned excursion was cancelled due to weather. It was my choice to go with the plan B that was offered. I was optimistic and wanted to try it out. What ruined the excursion was the fact they let a bachelorette party join the family friendly excursion. Which doesn’t sound terrible but they let 8 drunk ladies on the boat with our group. Ladies that had their own boom box with music blaring and twerks and hollering on the boat. 2 very different vibes going on at 10am. They were taking shots on the boat, singing at the top of their lungs, doing the same in the water. They had no interest in snorkeling. They apparently just needed a boat ride to their next destination. Bc they didn’t get back on the boat at the beach break. The snorkeling part of the excursion seemed very rushed but we did see some pretty fish and a sting ray.

The problem started with the name of the snorkeling shop is not the name that’s on the tickets / email .. The only thing they give you is it’s next-door to the liquor shop and there’s lots of dive shops next-door to liquor shop so you have to keep showing store owners to try to find this oarticular shop then they tell you the tourist two hours but actually took 3 1/2 hours to get back so we missed our dinner reservation and the last point is that the last stop they make it off the boat even though I was freezing from the cold water and just wanted to sound on the boat to make you get off the boat and get in the water even if you wanna stay on board and skip the last stop I’ve been on several dive trips and snorkeling trips and avoided the last stop, but it was an issue with him I’ve yet to figure out why
