Dream of a cabin
What an incredible cabin in a spectacular location! This was the single most spotlessly clean VRBO property anyone in our party has ever stayed at. The amenities and location were perfect, though it’s worth noting that the village of Wawona is located inside the national park, meaning potential traffic backups in entering through the park gate. We arrived on a weekday evening, off-peak time, so sailed through quickly—but we notice the line to enter the park (and thus Wawona), was 3/4 of a mile long when we were leaving. There’s a beautiful and rewarding hike to a waterfall three minutes away from the cabin, and definitely worth seeing, even if you’re staying here simply to access Yosemite Valley. The river which the cabin sits above makes a gentle rolling sound, and there’s birdsong every morning from the towering cedars and pines nearby. We will definitely be staying here again if ever visiting Yosemite! The property owner was also extremely quick to respond to any questions we had.

Awesome stay
Hello there, it was my first time at Yosemite. We did hit snow and cold weather but still got to enjoy the park and property well.A little bit about location, for future travellers We drove from Death Valley south to Yosemite and this location was closest to that entrance.Having said that it was not far from main part of Yosemite line lodge, curry village etc so like 50 minutes drive. It won’t have been an issue till we hit snow storm and driving became incredulously difficult but we made it.The property is close to glacier point and few viewpoint around it but it was closed in March, so just be cognizant of that.Overall we enjoyed and relaxed at our stay.Huge property w 2 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms, nice open living room, just fun to stay.

the property was great for the 3 adults we had traveling, clean, gorgeous views and good kitchen. The host is responsive and we had everything we needed. our only comment is the comfort of the couch. since our stay was in winter over xmas, we spent time indoors at night and the couch was not ideal for football and movie watching.

My husband and I came to see Yosemite from Ohio and spent 2 nights in this property. Everything was clean and worked out great for us. We didn’t spend an exceptional amount of time there because we were in the park most of the day but would have liked to have more time to spend seeing the area around the house.

Location, location, location!!!
We, being 2 families (7 people in total), had the most amazing stay at the property. The location is just divine with the river and brilliant rock jump just a stones throw away and it’s close to all the best sightseeing locations in Yosemite. Would definitely recommend!!!

It was probably too much space for us but the location on the water and inside the park was too good to pass up. I loved the kitchen (we cooked a lot) and the back porch. It had everything we needed and more.

Beautiful setting right on the Merced River within Yosemite at the south entrance. We were grateful to be within the park and not deal with the outrageously long lines to enter each morning. Owner is very helpful providing tips about shopping and accessing the park. Kitchen well stocked with cooking supplies. Basic provisions to get you started are provided. Although it is advertised as a 2 bedroom there are actually 3 bedrooms: one on main floor and two upstairs. Brand new washer/dryer located upstairs. Cozy den which looks out at the river on main floor could have used more comfortable seating, but the couch pulls out to a futon to provide additional bedspace and maybe that's why it wasn't too comfortable. Overall would gladly recommend this cabin.

Beautiful home and location
My husband and I and two adult kids thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Home is lovely and clean, with beautiful view of wooded lot and river. Another huge benefit is that it's within Yosemite National Park boundaries so we didn't need a Park permit to go to Yosemite. It was wonderful to return here after a day of hiking. Kip was easy to work with and very responsive to our questions as we prepared for our trip. I also greatly appreciated that he provides everything (sheets, towels, paper towels, toilet paper). We've stayed at several upscale VRBO locations on the East Coast where none of this is provided. Loved our stay and hope to return!! Thank you so much, Kip!!

Just Perfect After a Day in Yosemite
We loved our stay here. It would be hard to top the splendor of Yosemite but coming “home” to this cabin was close. It was so peaceful and beautiful! The river rushing by the property, the brilliant stars at night, drinking our morning coffee on the deck with the river our view…wow! It doesn’t really get any better.

Nice house, comfortable bed, enjoyable deck for afternoons by the river. We were there in April, used the upstairs master, since it was low-30’s at night, and upstairs was warmer. We liked having Wawona as our base. Local shopping at Pine Tree Market served our needs. We liked the selections, but Wawona Grocery, near the Wawona Hotel, another option. Don’t overlook Wawona Hotel Restaurant, we had great meals there.

Perfect for a family getaway
This home has it all. The location inside the park makes for an easy drive to Yosemite Valley for hiking and to Badger Pass for fun in the snow. We all enjoyed the views from the home overlooking the river. It was chilly outside so we didn’t use the huge deck much but felt as if we were outside because the f the huge windows.
