Our room was very dated.carpet smelled.peeling painwork and cobwebs.room smelled of drains.shower was a cubicle in the bedroom not bathroon.neither the shower or washbasin had much water pressure so pretty much useless.beds were also tiny and very low to the ground.Avoid it.

liked the friendly welcome and the
"pub atmosphere", disappointed that bar meals are not available, although mentioned on website.

Home from home
Pros:Everything, lovely old pub, beautiful flowers outside and the friendly staff
Cons:My fault but I forgot to pack soap, I'd have like to see one of those small guest soaps in the loo
Location:Weymouth, a little out of town for me with my walking difficulties but a taxi only cost £5! Lots to do in town and obviously the beach and harbour!
The staff were fantastic, couldn't do enough to make you feel more at home, our rooms were not ready as we got there early so were given tea & coffee with biscuits which were very much welcomed, the room was small but very comfy, we stayed on a Saturday night, no noise coming from the pub downstairs as previously reported by another traveller. Lots of choice for breakfast from fruit, cereal, full English (freshly cooked for you), toast with juices, milk, tea or coffee.

Basic and Friendly
Location:Five minutes up the road is a Tesco Metro and various fast food establishments - I had fish and chips which were very good.
The Weatherbury may have seen better days but it certainly has plenty of warmth, even when lacking a lot of the zip and polish that characterise many a less friendly establishment. It is effectively rooms above a fairly quiet pub and boasts no further amenities than a well stocked bar and attentive staff. One flight of stairs leads you to the rooms. My room was peaceful, cosy and a bit musty - opening the window while I went for a pint seemed to do the trick. The bed was creaky but comfortable, the bathroom was small and functional and the shower rather powerful for a confined space - a floor mat was provided to soak up the excess. There was adequate parking and separate access up back stairs to the first floor from a lockable door onto the car park, which made transporting luggage up straight forward. I had to leave before 7am but The Weatherbury provided a very good bacon sandwich and if I'd stayed an hour, I can only assume the Full Breakfast would have been equally tasty. I'd happily stay there again given the reasonable prices charged; those expecting chocolates on their pillows and room service may need to look elsewhere.
