No more time
After travelling for 17 hours, it was 33°C & we couldn’t enter the apartment as the key code provided did not work. We tried to contact the owner for 2 hours, when the owner responded that they were on holiday & gave us a new code for keys. At first, everything in apartment looked fine but quickly we found a broken tap in kitchen, dirty cupboards & fridge. Everywhere was dirty, so I started my holiday by cleaning. There were torn, dirty curtains in the master bedroom. The wardrobe was sticky & smelly. There were two toilets but the master toilet was out of order, which we were informed about when on route - owner advised to use the toilet anyway, and flush with a bucket. We were promised this would be fixed soon, but never was. 4 adults & 1 teenager needed to share one ensuite. When I complained, the owner apologised and promised that she would send us a bottle of wine as an apology, but never did. During the week the blinds in the lounge stopped working, and the owner gave my phone number away without permission to the engineer to contact me about this. We wasted half a day waiting for him, but he never showed up. This was completely unacceptable on many levels.
There is a private swimming pool and garden which you could only use from 3-6pm. For use outside these hours you have to ask for permission, we were never informed of this when booking. We asked for a refund, but the owner ignored the messages.
To sum up, Toulon is beautiful but I advise to find another place to stay
