Short Stay in the Suburbs

We were in town attending a wedding the weekend during which Taylor Swift was in Toronto, and so most places downtown were either booked or exorbitantly expensive. We were happy to find this place in Markham, just off the 407, which allowed for a speedy arrival and departure from the city. As relates to the property itself, it is faithful to the description: it is a granny suite/basement apartment with a shared entrance to the main residence directly upstairs. The space was immaculately clean and reasonably well-appointed for a short stay. (The furniture in the common room was a little sparse for four people.) The hosts were quiet and respectful, but as you might expect with a single-family dwelling, voices and footsteps could be heard more or less constantly. Perfectly functional and practical place to stay, if a little close-quarter.

Great Hosts in Quiet Neighborhood

The communication with our hosts was excellent throughout our stay. We had a few requests and questions during our stay - all were answered kindly and promptly. The space was clean and spacious for our family of four. The full kitchen and washer/dryer were much appreciated and utilized. We went to both the Zoo and into the city for a Jays game. The location made this easy to do. Quiet neighborhood was very nice. Only issue was the beds were very firm but the hosts said they will be addressing this in the future - they even brought down extra bedding to help in the meantime. Overall recommend.
