Island Country Retreat with Expansive Ocean Views ~ Private Pool

This private island home is located on the beautiful Northside. Surrounded by fruit trees and tropical flowers. There is a patio that leads to a 15x39 pool with total privacy. To the North is a covered porch that looks out to the Inner and Outer Brass Islands where sailboats and yachts sometimes anchor with spectacular sunsets. This is a true island home and a great vacation retreat. Convenient to all points of the island. There is a store and gas station on the main road before you turn into a private country road away from any noise or traffic.
Restaurants are in the area minutes away from this retreat. This home is a one-of-a-kind island home. This beautiful two-bedroom villa with an accompanying pool oasis is set within flowering gardens overlooking our famous Island ocean view. Lounge on the patio and enjoy the ocean breeze and expansive views. The living room is elegantly furnished with a pleasing blend of cushioned West Indies furniture and island-themed pieces. This cozy room incorporates a living area with local island art. This home is filled with lots of windows for light giving an airy ambiance. There is air conditioning in all the rooms the main living and both bedrooms for those days with no breeze. The very well-equipped and laid-out kitchen adjoins the living room’s dining area divided by an island with bar stools.
This island home has all the amenities to make you and your family feel comfortable with total privacy and safety.

This home has everything you need to be on vacation. Dine indoors or outdoors on the pool terrace. In-house meals can be provided with advance notice and with a separate fee directly to the owner.

Beautiful sunsets on the covered porch or breakfast looking out to boats going by will enhance your stay in this vacation getaway. This is a quiet peaceful villa.. Take a walk around the pool admire the plants and pick a passion fruit to add to your drink. This retreat is perfect for a family vacation where your children can enjoy the out doors and large private pool.
The road to this retreat is off the main road and leads to a dead end road where you will be private and safe. It is partly dirt but easy to access all areas of the island.
The only sounds will be birds and the ocean when the tides are up.

Total get away retreat but accessable to food supplies and restaurants. There are beach chairs, a cooler and beach towels.
A car or jeep is necessary to stay at this retreat .

Paradise found
The perfect place for us to completely relax in a quiet almost secluded comfortable and quant mountainside house. The tropical setting created the the most tranquil atmosphere we’ve experienced in a very long time. Our host met us at the airport to lead us in our first experience of driving on the left side if of the serpentine roads of St. Thomas.

Helen was very communicative and was helpful in finding the location. The house is exactly as pictured with large windows and amazing views. The pool and outside area was beautiful. There was a good amount of supplies in the house for cooking as well as beach time!

Great, Private place for Couples Alone Time
The owner Helen is the best. She met us (my future wife and I) at the airport to guide us to the hidden villa. Located on the quiet north end of the island. The villa is located on the end of an unpaved road The furnished covered veranda facing east overlooks Hull Bay. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals including a cabinet full of spices, vinegars and oils. The rest of the interior is well appointed though some of the furniture seem a bit worn. The entire house was clean. It was evident the house is well maintained. The pool area had lots of chairs and recliners. The pool was a good size and clean, its plaster could use a little bit love but it wasn't an issue for me. There was a fire pit behind the pool but you need to supply your own wood to use it. The house came with beach chairs, a cooler and more towels then you could ever use. There is a generator for power outages as well. In summary, Helen was an amazing host, the property is private, well maintained and well stocked. There is a grocery store across from the exit of the house's long dirt road which was convenient thou expensive. I would highly recommend this property. Helen created a hidden gem.

Beautiful island home
We’ve visited St Thomas about 20 times and this was definitely one of the best overall value places we’ve ever stayed in. We will definitely be back. Helen is very helpful and responsive. The house is absolutely beautiful. It’s maintained and kept well. The view, garden and pool are great. There are many thoughtful amenities and fun knick knacks. A note to consider, particularly if you’re not familiar with STT- the house is located in the Northside, which is lush and residential. If you’re planning to visit restaurants in Red Hook or Frenchtown for dinner or take the late ferry back from St John, you will be driving back on the narrow mountain road with some patches in the dark. We didn’t mind and drove a regular car (not a jeep/4WD) everywhere, including the monster trek to nearby Neltjeberg beach, but if you’re not a fan of driving on the left then this may be helpful to keep in mind. Also there is a brand new, slightly pricey but very well-stocked Moe’s market right across the street, which was super convenient. Enjoy!

Beautiful Northshore Home with Views
Check in was a breeze as property manager met us at the airport and we followed him to the house. You MUST have a car to stay at this house, preferably 4WD with high clearance. Very large, spacious rooms, well-equipped kitchen, plenty of towels including beach/pool towels. Having two outdoor patio areas, both shaded with dining tables was very nice. Wonderful view out over Hull Bay from back patio. Beautiful gardens and flowers. Very large pool with lots of lounge chairs. The home is older and could use some general maintenance and a thorough cleaning - and is a 10-15 minute drive to anything except the convenience store at the top of the driveway. Overall, a very pleasant stay, thank you Helen for sharing your family home!

Great place!
We had an absolutely marvelous stay at this property. Very spacious, clean, with an incredible view of Hull Bay. We really enjoyed the pool and both patios. Can not recommend this place enough, Helen was an incredible host who treated us like old friends. Would strongly recommend renting a 4WD, the road to the property gets pretty bumpy.

Spectacular views of Hull Bay!
Our family of five had a memorable 10 day stay over Christmas and New Years. Helen's island home has spectacular views of Hull Bay and the Inner and Outer Brass Islands from the north facing covered deck as well as the kitchen, large living room, and north facing bedroom! We enjoyed coffee on the deck in the mornings before heading out for adventures and drinks in the evenings. We also enjoyed dining on the deck and just relaxing and taking in the incredible views. The back of the home has a large, private, shaded patio that is surrounded by gorgeous native vegetation, palm trees, and flowering plants. There is a nice pool and deck area off of the patio. Our three children loved the pool! We enjoyed the fresh passion fruits that ripened daily and watching the bananas grow. The grounds around the home are truly beautiful and well maintained. The friendly neighborhood goats and chickens kept us entertained as well as the dog and cat that belong to the neighbors who live in the lower level of the home. As with most areas on St Thomas, a 4WD jeep is necessary to access this house. It is located on the north side of the island in a residential area on a bumpy, steep, dirt/gravel road with a flat, paved area at the house for parking. Some of the neighboring homes are pretty rough/run-down looking. This concerned us initially, but Helen assured us it was very safe and we had no issues. It was very quiet and peaceful our entire stay. Two of the closest beaches are Brewer's Bay (12 minute drive) and Magen's Bay (18 minute drive). We enjoyed both very much! Red Hook/Sapphire Beach area is a 25-30 minute drive. The road to access the house is right next to Puma gas station. Restaurant 13 and Nidal Mini Mart are very close by. Helen met us at the airport so we could follow her to the house. Addresses are confusing in St Thomas. I do not think there's any way we would have found the house on our own. Helen was a thoughtful host throughout our stay and regularly touched base to see if there was anything we needed. She put out some Christmas decorations and fresh poinsettias for us to enjoy over the holidays, offered to pick up groceries for us before we arrived, and provided beach chairs and a cooler. The house was well stocked with new bath and beach towels, paper products, and cleaning supplies. Overall, we had a comfortable, relaxing, memorable stay!

Gorgeous Views
Our 88 year old mother, her 87 year old sister, my sister and myself spent 7 wonderfully relaxing days at Helen’s lovely “farmhouse” retreat. Helen was a very thoughtful hostess who was always willing to help in any way she could! (she found us the best driver in all the Virgin Islands!) If you are brave and/or adventurous you may choose to rent a car. (Make SURE it is an SUV) The road to the house is bumpy!! The roads are curvy and you must drive on the left side of the road. After struggling for 2days to master the roads (your GPS will not guide you properly) Helen found us an amazing driver! After that we were in paradise. Helen’s home is decorated in an eclectic style with several beautiful antiques. We were quite comfortable and especially enjoyed the daybed which was on the front porch. The view from the porch was spectacular! The private pool was a perfect place to relax and unwind at the end of a full day! The home was well stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals at the farm house. There were plenty of towels and beach towels also. Helen’s grandson, Cole, was quick to help carry in our groceries and offer information about the island. We would love to return to this retreat and hope to do so in the future. Thank you Helen for the use of your bit of paradise!

We really enjoyed our stay at this really nice St. Thomas house. The pool was great and it was really quiet. It is a bit of drive from stuff and you will need a car, but overall it was great and Helen was very responsive.

Relaxing Farmhouse Retreat
Helen's home was such a wonderful escape for my family and I. We enjoyed the house and view, cooking and eating meals on the front and back patios, and swimming in the pool very much. The house had the most beautiful view from the back patio, and we would sit and have coffee, or have dinner and play cards and look out over the ocean. The pool was cleaned two times during our 10 day stay, and Helen was extremely accommodating as well! We cannot wait to return to St. Thomas and hope to stay in this house again!
