Escape to your own tropical paradise! This stunning 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom villa is located on a quiet road just steps from the Atlantic Ocean in Chocolate Hole, St. John USVI. Enjoy breathtaking views of the ocean, islands and beautiful sunsets from your private balcony, or relax in the secluded pool after a long day of exploring. The Villa Belvedere Oceanfront Suites comprise a connecting pod to the larger space, Villa Belvedere. Villa Belvedere, the main house overlooking the Caribbean was mostly blown down by hurricanes Irma and Maria in 2017. Both suites have balconies with the classic 180 degree, unobstructed million-dollar views of the Caribbean, St. Croix, St. Thomas, and the surrounding cays. The ½ acre property sits directly on the waterfront which is approximately 150 feet down from the edge of the cliff. You will enjoy the most superior ocean views on the Island of St. John because of their proximity to the rocky cliff overhanging the Caribbean.

We offer this secluded guesthouse without a kitchen (we do have a kitchenette and propane grill) or without a living room to the guests that are looking for isolation and a 180 degree million dollar view of the ocean at this reduced price until we rebuild the main house.

Just a short drive to the beach, you'll find plenty of opportunities for swimming, sunbathing, surfing, and fishing. If you're looking for something a little more adventurous, you can take a boat trip to explore the nearby reefs or go hiking in the rainforest.

Villa Belvedere is a 2 bedroom villa in St. John with outdoor pool sitting on a cliff overlooking the ocean. It has an incredible view with stunning sunsets! This two bed/two bath villa, approximately 700 square feet, comes with a kitchenette. Imagine lying in bed while looking at the lights of St Thomas, VI. Waking up to the sounds of the surf. If you want a secluded, romantic hideaway in Paradise you have found the right place! Clothing not required! Equipped with TV, internet, coffee maker, small refrigerator, microwave, pool, chairs for sunning, beach chairs, cooler and grill. Private parking, well lit. Close to Westin Resort, 10 minutes to Cruz Bay ferry docks. The Villa Belvedere enjoys the most superior ocean views on the Island of St. John because of their proximity to the rocky cliff overhanging the Caribbean. In fact, we caution you not to venture far from the pool. If you don’t venture past the pool in the backyard, you will be safe. We do not recommend children under the age of 18 to wander without adult supervision in the backyard.

These are non-smoking suites.
Check-in is 4:00 pm and check-out is 10:00 am. If early check-in or late check-out is requested and available, a fee may apply.

We are usually available to meet you at the ferry and take you to your rental car provider or to the master suites. We will wait for you to get your car and you can follow us to the villa should you rent a car.

Please plan to arrive at Villa Belvedere no later than 9:00 pm. If you are arriving after 9:00 pm please contact us in advance to make arrangements.

Please help us conserve water! Everyone on St. John gets their water from rainfall collected from the roof into cisterns under the house. We ask that you be conservative with your water usage. The water is treated with a sophisticated filtration system for maximum protection.

Please conserve electricity! Electricity in the Virgin Islands is several times more expensive than stateside. Please be mindful of electricity use: turn off all lights, fans, and A/C when not in Villa Belvedere Master Suites. Your conservation will be appreciated!

Please tie up your full trash bags and take them to the trash receptacles. If you leave trash bags outside the Master Suites you will attract iguanas who will tear open the bags and spread trash around for you to clean up.

Please hose off all beach and sandy gear preferably before you leave the beach if showers are available. Sand is a precious natural resource and should be left on the beach. There is a hose provided for your use to wash your beach chairs, feet, and any sandy gear when you return to the suites.

We provide 4 large beach towels.

Trash removal must be performed prior to check out. There are trash containers close to Cruz Bay on the left when you turn left out of Great Cruz Bay Road and pass the Westin. There is no trash receptacle on the property. Everyone from the Villas are expected to bag their trash and carry them to the containers that are very visible on the road into Cruz Bay from the property. it is easiest if you take your bagged trash into town when you leave the property to go to the beaches, Cruz Bay, and/or restaurants in Cruz Bay. The manager and the housekeepers will not take the garbage out for you.

Absolutely nothing in the toilet but waste and toilet paper. No feminine hygiene products or any other paper items or foreign objects. There are no municipal sewage systems on St. John to flush into. Instead, every home has a self-contained sewage treatment system. These systems are ecofriendly, are very sensitive, and do not tolerate anything but waste and toilet paper or they will malfunction and back up. Trust us, that is not something you ever want to experience.

Virgin Islands National Park: This park encompasses most of the island of St. John, and includes a variety of natural and historical features, such as beaches, reefs, forests, and plantations. Cinnamon Bay National Recreation Area: This area is home to a beautiful beach, as well as hiking trails, camping, and picnicking opportunities.

Maho Bay National Recreation Area: This area is known for its beautiful beaches and its proximity to the Virgin Islands airport, where planes fly overhead just feet from the shore.

Trunk Bay National Marine Park: This park is home to a beautiful coral reef, which is popular for snorkeling and diving. These are just a few of the many national parks and recreation areas on St. John, USVI. Visitors to the island can enjoy a variety of activities, including swimming, sunbathing, hiking, biking, camping, fishing, and more.

Great oceanfront view
Can’t beat the views, especially at sunset. Rooms were great, and just a few minutes from Cruz Bay. Only reason we did not give five stars is because the power was out the first night, and there was no generator to provide lights or running water, so the property manager advised that we should find another place to stay and that we would be refunded for that night, so we did. But it’s been several weeks, and still no refund for the missed night.

Amazing Stay
We had an amazing stay at Villa Belvedere. Although the check in process didn’t go as smooth as we’d like, the rest of the stay was perfect. We originally coordinated with the property manager to meet us at the ferry dock but he did not show up or answer our calls which was very concerning. We eventually got in touch with him after picking up our Jeep rental and driving to the grocery store. Since it was about 3pm at this point the owner did remind us that check in was at 4pm so technically we still got in early. It was just the lack of communication that really made us worry. There was a time period where I was worried we had no place to stay so you can imagine the unnecessary elevated stress we had to start our trip. Unfortunately some of the pictures on VRBO appear to be outdated (pre hurricane) so that added to some of the initial confusion. I need to read the description again because I was also surprised to see the kitchenette being outdoors. That didn’t stop us from making fantastic pasta but again, just not up to expectations. The room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. I’d definitely stay there again knowing what I know now.

Truly amazing!
We can’t say enough about this beautiful property and I challenge you to find a better view! Everything about this Villa exceeded our expectations. Even with STJ’s beautiful beaches and hiking, we still looked forward to coming back to appreciate the wonderful sunsets. The outdoor showers, especially the one with the cutout allowing you to enjoy the ocean view was truly amazing. Any questions we had were immediately addressed by either Joy or her property manager Chris. From the patio, we were close enough to spot a couple sea turtles. We loved our stay and can’t wait to come back.

Beautiful Villa
This is a beautiful 2 bedroom villa right on the tip of Great Cruz Bay Road. We only used one of the bedrooms for our 3 night stay. The pool was clean, grounds were clean, the outdoor kitchen and grill area was clean and in working order. The beds and pillows are comfortable. The only minor complaints we had are that is not a washer/dryer unit as we had hoped for and we didn't love having to take all trash out of the unit when we left. I'd have paid a little extra just to not have had to do that!

Paradise with privacy
This was a spectactular home. It was great with the 2 rooms for the teenage girls and the parents. the pool was amazing and the views to die for. Close to town and everything on the island. The owner communicated well and the property manager was very accomdating since we missed our car barge and rearranged his schedule to meet us much later than expected. The views from anywhere on the property are breathtaking. Small kitchen and wigh basic amenties. Perfect vacation....
