This is our third time staying at this property. I'll start with the positives. We love the location, right across from the pier. The room is pretty clean and comfortable, though the hotel is showing its age and could use some upgrades. Overall, I feel it's a decent value for what we paid, and the staff was very friendly.
Having said that, we'll probably choose another hotel for our next stay. There are several areas in need of a good cleaning. The windows around the pool area are filthy. The ice machine on the first level didn't work. We would have liked for there to be a safe in the room, and breakfast is no longer included, only coffee. To be fair, we knew about the lack of a safe and breakfast from other reviews - just stating a preference. Also, the neighborhood doesn't feel as safe as it once did (not the hotel's fault, obviously).
By far the worst was the elevator. We only used it once, at the end of our stay, to take our luggage out on a cart. It smelled awful, and the floor was really sticky. We chose to take the steps back up to our room after unloading.
In general, this hotel met our needs for our stay. But I think there are probably better options for us in the area next time around.
