GORGEOUS BEACH FRONT PENTHOUSE - UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL WITH THE BLUE CARIBBEAN SEA🌴

This Gorgeous beach front apartment has large terrace overlooking the ocean with sun loungers, table 4 chairs and parasol . The sound of the waves and the wonderful sea views make for a romantic location. (It only takes a few strides to reach the beach) Being an end unit you have open views which span from the ocean in the west round to the south. Built on two floors/split level . the upper level has huge living area 40’x 16’ with high pickled pine cathedral ceilings and the blue ocean can be viewed from the Italian kitchen, which has Smeg hob and oven plus integral dishwasher and a microwave . Downstairs is bedroom bathroom utility area . Mahogany Wooden stairs lead to Master bedroom with en suite shower room. .Extra shower room on landing. Gated secure parking. AC in bedrooms.

The sound of the ocean echoes through the apartment as the crystal clear Caribbean sea laps just feet away! Walk to shops, banks restaurants or stunning Heywoods beach as well as the beach outside where turtles lay their eggs during June/July. Great snorkeling opportunities on your doorstep Here's a place that evokes the sensual elements of island life, rich turquoise water edged with hot white sands + sunsets and stars by night. Electric gates give extra security with gated private car park.


Activities available: you can water ski, jet ski, kayak scuba dive, paddle board, swim with protected turtles, sail, enjoy polo, view horse racing at the garrison savannah race course, horse ride and of course cricket is an obsession in Barbados so take your pick. (kayaking is available just along the beach) plus e bike trips.
Watch satellite TV or surf the net on our hi speed wifi! TV channels include ESPN Sports Max BBC CNN and Canadian news channels. The Caribbean sea forms your 'front garden'! A VIDEO of this property can be found under Jude Gardner Coco de Mer on You Tube. We have satellite tv with a multitude of international channels and choice of new movies. We have a blue tooth sound bar.
Maid service available plus laundry service Our housekeeper uses all the disinfection methods possible to keep the apartment very hygienic . ( we ask guests to leave the apartment when maid is cleaning to minimise virus transfer and to wash hands immediately upon arrival disposing of masks gloves etc into a sealed bag ) We also leave the apartment empty for 1day between guest changeovers.

Note we are located at the south end of the building well away from building to North giving an uninterrupted view of the ocean. House Manager available for any support required.
During high season January to March I only accept bookings for 2 week periods.

Marvelous Vacation
We stayed three weeks in that wonderful location which is the perfect spot in a quiet area, wonderful furnished you feel really like being home. a big terrace to watch spectacular sunsets and everything is just in walking distance, the beach , nice restaurants, groceries etc. Good updates from the owner and things we should be aware. For sure when we come back that is our place again.

Wir haben eine wundervolle Woche auf Barbados verbracht. Die Wohnung ist wirklich ein Traum und wir können die guten Bewertungen nur bestätigen. Ausstattung, Sauberkeit, Einrichtungsstil, alles ist wirklich perfekt und die Aussicht von der Terrasse ist sensationell. Auch wir haben es immer weniger geschafft, uns von diesem Ausblick zu trennen und sind oft abends dort einfach sitzen geblieben und haben den am Horizont vorbeifahrenden Kreuzfahrtschiffen zugeschaut. Die Vermieterin ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit und auch die Parkmöglichkeit, überdacht und gesichert unter dem Gebäude, ist sehr angenehm. Speightstown ist ein nettes kleines Städtchen mit einigen gemütlichen Bars und man kann dort auch mit den Leuten gut in Kontakt kommen. Der Strandabschnitt direkt vor dem Gebäude ist natürlich auch super. Herzlichen Dank Jude, wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Beautiful apartment
The apartment is very spacious and comfortable. It benefits from being on a corner so the breeze flows through the apartment on a hot day. The air conditioning in the bedroom is a welcome addition and the bed was very comfortable. We really liked Speightstown. It felt a little more authentic than some of the resorts, whilst still having a number of nice restaurants. The highlight was the beach opposite and the snorkelling. Although it’s a relatively small beach, it often felt like our own private beach and you can snorkel safely from shore.

Not A Good Experience
Property is located right across from small beach front. A/C only in bed rooms and the WiFi only works upstairs. We could barely get TV to work in the family room. Upon arrival we were met by House Keeping not property manager. Upon Departure we weren’t met by anyone. During the stay of 8 nights we had an issue with downstairs bathroom and I items come up missing from the secured property. I find that kinda funny but overall I wouldn’t stay in this location or at this property again.

From the moment we met Sarah the housekeeper to when we left, everything about Coco de mer was fantastic. The property is beautifully furnished and very well equipped, with everything you could possibly need. The view from the balcony is stunning and the beach could not be much closer. The local restaurants and shops are all within an easy stroll. We had a wonderful holiday and will definitely stay at Coco de mer again when we return to Barbados. Heavenly Paradise
This is an absolutely picture perfect flat down to the smallest details. The views are outstanding, the breeze kisses your skin all day and the birds sing to you whilst the sound of the lapping ocean sends you to another world The photos don’t do it justice. The beach is like your own private space. Sometimes you may see two other people or a small family, but most of the time it’s yours. Speightstown still has that original Bajan charm. The people are lovely and it’s quiet. There is an excellent restaurant across the street and two more down the road. There are shops for all your essentials in walking distance as well as a local fish market. The house manager, Sarah is extremely helpful and goes the extra mile. The flat has a great kitchen with everything you need to cook an excellent fish stew or any other dish I can’t recommend it more and I hope we will be able to return next year.

Great Location
Clean and safe. Constant tropical breeze through the living area and kitchen made the house temperature very comfortable. Location was perfect, as it was easy to walk to bars, restaurants and the beach. A/C in the bedroom took a little bit of time to figure out how best to adjust. What a shame… sadly not for me again.
A delightful location, but…..the property was way too hot to enjoy the great benefits on offer. The air conditioning in the sitting room was I understand intentionally switched off. I assume to save money. Mobile fans did not compensate. Keeping the patio doors open for the breeze was totally inadequate and this penny pinching, spoilt our stay. Such a shame. The heat was at times so hot - the only place of escape was the air conditioned bedroom. Which was hardly the place to constantly be. Also, the barking dogs in the neighbouring property were an audible evening nuisance which the delightful and very helpful housekeeper tried to address.

We had a wonderful 2 weeks staying at White Sands. Upon arrival we were met by wonderful Sarah whose passion and meticulous explanations about the property were invaluable. She really took immense care of us and offered her number in the event of any issues and recommendations for restaurants etc. Thank you Sarah, we were so lucky to have your wisdom. The house was exceptionally comfortable, beds were great. Everything worked as you would expect. A suggestion that having some toilet paper and light bulbs on hand would be great if they are placed somewhere prominently and if I had to flag anything, it was that there were a few lamps with no working bulbs and some fans that didn't work, otherwise, everything else was great. We arranged for the maid to come by most days (Angela) and she provided great service. Lovely terrace overlooking the sea and beaches, very quiet even though we were there at Christmas. What was nice at the property were all the little extras that someone thought about to make us feel as though we were staying in a home vs a commercial establishment such as a decorated Christmas tree and small decorations around the home....super, so nice to see that someone was so looking out for us. Kitchen was well supplied in equipment to conjur us 3 course meals. Speightstown offer a couple of super markets within walking distance, otherwise you have to hire a taxi to go to the well-stocked Massy super market about 20-25 mins away. We would def stay again.

Wonderful apartment...perfect location...
The property is lovely, exactly as it says in the description. Views were better than in the photos and the sounds of waves is something we will miss. The location is a stones throw from the beach, very peaceful but within walking distance of shops, bars and restaurants. Local & co is a lovely spot for dinner and we would recommend lunch at the Animal flower cave, in the north of the island (a 20 minute drive) The views are stunning! For a chilled out drink try Caboose it's a 2 min walk near Heywoods beach a quirky little bar with a boat as it's focal point! As with most properties there were a couple of minor hiccups but these were resolved very quickly. Sarah (the property manager) and Jude were very responsive to anything that we asked them. Nothing was too much trouble. We would highly recommend and will definitely be back

What a lovely apartment…the side aspect windows make this a very light and breezy apartment ..much needed in Barbados And it’s position in Speightstown is perfect…with allocated locked parking Coco is very well equipped .. From beach chairs to kitchen utensils!! We stayed in the bedroom upstairs..the bed is very comfortable and the area is quiet at night . We cooked fish from the market and ate outside on the balcony several times in our 8 day stay Thank you Judy it’s been fab !

House on the Beach
My husband and I stayed here for 9 days to celebrate his retirement and our anniversary. Everything about this trip was perfect! Sarah and Jude were both very responsive when we had questions and even ran over some personal binoculars when we asked if there were any in the house. Food was great! People are great! Many things to do on the island…St Nicholas Abbey, watch the race horses exercise and bathe at Pebbles Beach, sun bathe and swim at Mullins Beach, drove to the North Point and the Cave, Polo match at Apes Polo Club, Wildlife Reserve to see the monkeys, deep sea fishing…and more! Don’t skip having a fish cutter at Caboose down the street from the house! This was a great trip at a great house!

Paradise with a Sunset
What a wonderful stay at Coco De Mer. Jude’s property is in the perfect location and those views from the balcony, wow. If you’re considering your first visit to the Island (or a return one for they matter) and deliberating between a Hotel and a DIY one, you’d be mad to pass this property up. Speightstown is a perfect location, plenty of bars and restaurants nearby, with others a short drive away. The beaches are just a dream. Plenty on your doorstep and lots more on the west coast too. Jude is the perfect host and Sarah her manager is on hand to check you in go over everything and be available for anything you need.

We just spent our second January at the beautiful Coco de Mer. The sunsets on the beautiful terrace were fantastic. The layout of the unit is perfect for two couples. Jude is a great host. She responds very quickly to any concerns. Already looking forward to our third visit!

Amazing view but a few things that let the property down.
This property has incredible views and the beach across is ideal. The restaurant opposite called Baia is incredible and well worth the visit! During our stay the weather was 30 degrees every day and when we got to the property, the air conditioning units had been disconnected therefore unusable and in the heat, this should've been available. Air conditioning in the rooms worked perfectly for the evenings. The TV is quite outdated and isn't smart so no access to Netflix etc which is quite important with today's tech. The water heater we were advised to turn on for 15 minutes and this would give us hot water for 2 days. However the water was cold within the hour. There was a water leak a few days after we arrived and the manager was informed twice and unfortunately didn't do anything to arrange maintenance. This was still leaking on departure 9days later. We were arriving quite late into Barbados and didn't get to the home until 1am. I did kindly ask on arrival if there was any chance of a hamper being arranged with some basics, which I was happy to pay for, however this wasn't acknowledged or arranged. The kitchen utensils were extremely dirty which we didn't feel comfortable to use really. Quite a few looked old and stained. The property instructions and help guide are 11 years out of date which should be updated regularly. There is a lovely balcony to sit outside and look out to the sea however the loungers had a lot of bird poo on and hadn't been cleaned properly before arrival. Overall we did have a lovely stay and Barbados is incredible, there are unfortunately just quite a few things that need updating / fixing in this property.

Amazing Just Amazing
Our stay was fabulous; the sounds from the ocean waves were incredible. My wife and I slept on the patio just about every night. Judy and Sarah were great as well. We felt that the location was perfect, we could see the beach and waves from the patio, and it was only a minute walk to the beach. I wish I had more time to write a better review, or I would write a book. The place was perfect and had everything we needed. Then there was the rum punch; we drank that day. Judy and Sarah helped to make our stay fantastic; they were accommodating when it came to places to go and visit. So you all know, if we ever revisit Barbados, we will not stay anywhere else as long as we can stay here again.

We loved this apartment. It overlooks a crystal clear beach, with nesting turtles and is a short walk from Heywoods Beach where we swam with turtles every day The apartment is superbly equipped … the kitchen contains everything you could possibly need and the bedrooms were delightful. It is filled with work by local artists, lovely shells and candles for a relaxed evening. Speightstown was very unspoilt with a couple of beach bars and Wayne’s fish cutter boat. Easy private car parking and a hose to wash off the sand before you head upstairs. Opposite the apartment was a new restaurant Gaia … the joy of this apartment was the great balcony where you can eat, watch the sunsets or have a candlelit supper. We wished there had been a visitors book to share local knowledge. We would certainly like to return one day … thank you for a very special apartment!

We'd come back in a flash
This is the perfect apartment in the perfect location. It had absolutely everything we needed, and was just a very short walk to Heywoods Beach, which happens to be the best beach of all the ones we visited in Barbados. If you like to actually swim, as in real swimming, this is the one. The town is quiet, and not built up like many more popular towns, so it's super laid back, but has everything you'd need. The apartment itself is lovely. Spacious and airy, with a million dollar view. Well equipped, lots of comfortable seating, a perfect place to stay in Barbados. The only thing to be aware of is that, as others have mentioned, there is some sort of kennel/caged dogs/tied up guard dogs/something directly next door, so be prepared for incessant barking and howling most of the night.
