The Creekside Cottage is a newly renovated and modern designed two-story vacation home. It is situated on a park-like six-acre oceanfront property known as the Seaward Estate. Historically, Seaward was one of five salmon trap sites along Juan de Fuca Strait until the 1950s.
Seaward provides many beautiful natural landscapes, including two beaches (with thousands of feet of picturesque coastline), west coast forest, and wood trails. It remains one of the best oceanfront properties in the Greater Victoria Region. Since real estate value has been consistently increasing in the last two decades, many good oceanfront properties have been subdivided into small lots and redeveloped. A large original oceanfront property, such as the Seaward, which has preserved all its natural beauty and historical value, is truly rare to find.
The Creekside Cottage is located next to a small natural creek. It consists of over 1400 square feet of space. The main floor is an open concept design with a living, dining, and kitchen area. The south-facing wall of floor-to-ceiling windows offers an ocean view of the Juan de Fuca Strait and Olympic mountains. A cozy patio provides an outdoor seating area, a dining table, and a BBQ. There are two bedrooms on the second level. One bedroom is a loft-style setting with a king-size bed. It opens to the living room below and its windows are directly facing the ocean on the south. The second bedroom has a queen-size bed. One of the three windows is facing south of ocean, and the other two windows are facing the gardens and overlooking the ocean on the west. There is a full bathroom with laundry facilities on the second floor, and a powder room on the main floor. In addition to the two bedrooms, a little attic space can be accessed from the second bedroom. It is perfect for young children to hide-out. In the living room, there is a sofa-bed to provide extra comfort.
There is a beach house on East Beach for children to play, as well as for adults to relax. Of course, guests love to spend time on the beaches. The East Beach has a flatter pebble surface than the West Beach for walking, but the West Beach has more giant rocks, coves, and secret hiding spots for adventure. Many guests find those forest trails are fun to discover. Guests like to sit on the benches at the end of Sunset trail and Otter trail to read a book, to watch wildlife, or to enjoy the sunset. Many others love to plan a picnic breakfast, lunch, or dinner on the picnic deck at the end of the Orca trail.
The Seaward Estate consists of Rose Cottage (Vrbo 1333347), Rowan Cottage (Vrbo 1340568), and Creekside Cottage (Vrbo 2229506). The Creekside Cottage is about 50 feet away from Rowan Cottage and about 200 feet away from Rose Cottage. All cottages' windows are facing the ocean. There are no windows directly facing each other in order to provide guests with privacy.
