This lovely chalet is a skier's paradise, situated sitting at the top of Snowshoe Mountain and with just a short walk to the slopes. Enjoy the views from the hot tub on the spacious deck and be transported by the serenity and natural beauty of the mountains that surround you.

FREE PARKING! Don't get tripped up by Snowshoe's new parking fees. Parking at Chamonix Chalet is free! Use the free on-call van to get to your favorite spots on the mountain without having to pay for parking. It's truly the best way to get around!

- There is a $50 pet registration fee.
- A Vacation Rental Agreement will be sent promptly after booking for your signature.
- The property has a security camera placed at the front porch/parking lot area. The video footage is not shared, is for security purposes only and does not face the home. There are no indoor cameras. There are no cameras facing the hot tub area.
- This property is available for rent by family groups and couples. We do not host stag parties or groups comprised of just young adults under 30 without prior approval. If you are unsure if your group qualifies, please send us a message describing your groups composition.

Other Details:
- On-Call Van. The on-call van service is GREAT! Just call them and they'll arrive in about 5-10 minutes at the end of the driveway and take you to various slopes or Snowshoe Village. Call them from your cell or ask any merchant to call the van for you to be taken back to Montreux. The Van runs from 8am-midnight weekdays and 8am to 2am on Friday and Saturday nights.
- Chamonix Chalet uses professional cleaning and maintenance services to ensure your stay is exceptional. All linens and towels are professionally sanitized after each guest departure. The hot tub is cleaned and serviced by a professional, trained technician after every stay. A local care-taker is available to address any maintenance issues that arise during your stay.
- Easy Access. Most homes at Snowshoe have steep driveways that can be a challenge even for four-wheel-drive vehicles. At Chamonix, the driveway has a modest slope that is maintained by a plowing service. Front-wheel drive vehicles are usually ok, but if we get a big snow, getting anywhere on the mountain will be a challenge without all-wheel drive.

Great kitchen with everything you could want. Space is great, plenty of room for anyone needing to "settle down." Good mattresses, lots of TV's-not that there is time for that! Summer fun all around.

Annual family ski trip-Dec 2023
We had an amazing stay! The house was exactly as pictured. The first day it rained but we still had a great time. We loved the shuttle! It made it easy for everyone to do their own thing at their own pace. The owners were very easy to work with. I loved all the information they provided ahead of time. We had never been to Snowshoe but we will return. Thank you!

Family Stay Before the Holidays
Great home for a long weekend getaway, before the holidays. The mountain was closed down, getting ready to start their snow ski ski season, but it was a very quiet relaxing weekend due to that. Location of the house is great. if you were there to ski absolutely perfect location. The house was clean. and ready for us when we arrived. Could use a little updating but a beautiful home.

A great experience
Thought I’d take a chance on this house since it has good ratings on other sites. Certainly seems the host has all the issues from last winter taken care of. The house was very clean and the fridge worked fine. The hot tub was great for a cool night after riding. Proximity to the western territory trails was super convenient. Plenty of parking for our group of 10 and plenty of lounging space around the house. Wifi is fast and reliable. The shuttle showed up in about 5 minutes any time we called and runs till 2am, so no designated driver required! Ashley was easy to reach and gave us a ton of good information before we got there. Overall we had a great time and are seriously considering this house as our annual winter vacation spot!

Not What we paid for
The property is in need of serious sprucing up -- the place smelled like smoke when we arrived and it has a dirty feel about it. Too many people have visited and left their smudges and stains. The refrigerator was warm and the kitchen faucet was missing parts (literally it's parts were on the windowsill). The owner sent maintenance over to look at the fridge at the end of 2nd day and it was determined that not a lot could be done with the refrigerator but luckily it was cold enough outside that we could keep things on the porch. Our bedroom chest of drawers fell out when you opened them so no using them. The shower on the first floor leaked onto the floor. We made it work but in general - when you rent a high-end place, you don't expect these problems. The owner knew we were upset but insisted it looked like the pictures. Place needs a good cleaning, paint job and some new appliances, and repairs. It takes about 5-10 mins to walk to the slopes (which is a black diamond) but we were fine with that. The view is lovely.

Arrived about 10 minutes prior to check in time of 4. Cleaning guy was still working. No problem. Finally about 425 he said he had done all he could do and would be back with toilet paper and soaps that he forgot. After notifying owner the following morning someone finally brought toilet paper and some dishwashing soap later that day. Place was still very dirty. Furniture out of place. Dog crap all over the yard. Downstairs bedroom bath smelled like wet dog and cat litter. The house needs a lot of TLC. Layout is fine. Hot tub was very dirty. If they at least had some chemicals for us to throw in that would have made it work. Main level TV did not work. Fridge light was not working. Overall the house has clearly been used hard. We were only there for 3 night so I really did not want to get involved in complaining too much and spending all our time dealing with that. Owner does communicate quickly I will say, but really none of this stuff should have been an issue. We are people that have rented our high end vacation home and I know there is NO way anyone working for us would have left our house in this condition.

Room for everyone
My scattered family met up here for our first Thanksgiving together in 7 years. This home supplied every single thing we needed but the Turkey and fixings. The kitchen was completely stocked ! There was even a roasting pan. Tons of extra blankets/pillows, ample towels and an abundance of firewood. We never even had to touch the thermostats as we built a fire and it kept the entire home warm. We were amazed at the efficiency of the fireplace. The kids loved the hot tub and the sleds on site as there was enough snow and room to sled on the backside of the property. Beds were comfy and we never ran out of hot water. We were a bit disappointed as I did not do enough research and tubing at snowshoe isn’t open until Dec 16 for us non-skiers in the group. But a trip to the pool satisfied the little ones. The arcade is also closed until mid December. There is absolutely NO cell service but super fast wifi ! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. My only suggestions are for some extra light bulbs on site a dust pan, extra dishwasher pods and maybe some disinfectant wipes/spray as we like to clean as we go. Views from the deck are breathtaking at sunset. Wonderful home.

Neither tropical Rain Nor More Rain
The 8-point buck who greeted us at our 1 a.m. arrival didn’t have the door code. The given door code didn’t work. Cell coverage didn’t work. Luckily, we found a way to wake up the property manager and we were given the door code that worked. Great place. Highly recommend it. Stay long and prosper. The views of the valley are very nice. The place was clean, warm once we figured out the directions, and simply a pleasant experience.

Lovely stay for bluegrass festival
This house was great for a big group :) Everyone fit very comfortably and there were a lot of us! Hot tub was super nice and had a lovely view. Shuttle took us where we wanted to go so didn't need to drive anywhere. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing trip to this lovely property. We are skiers/snowboarders and greatly enjoyed being able to walk to Cupp Run. Silver Creek was super close as well and had an awesome time night skiing. Loved the hot tub and new gas fireplace !!

2020 New Year visit to Chamonix
Beautiful views, great location, loved the van service (drivers couldn't be nicer), jacuzzi was perfect, and the house has a very nice layout. Only slight negatives are; - bathrooms and bottom floor could have been cleaned better - would have preferred a fire place on main floor, instead one has to choose between the bottom level room with fireplace vs. main family room with great views. - house was constantly pretty cold - should give users ability to change temp from 5pm to midnight at least. Overall we enjoyed the house and will consider renting it again.

Really enjoyed our stay. Spacious home with nice great room, wood burning stove and hot tub. Approx 1 mile away from village but on-demand shuttle makes it convenient.
