If you’re looking for a group getaway on the North Yorkshire coast, look no further than Darcey House! This recently refurbished holiday home is a short 5-minute walk to the popular Peasholm Park so you'll be perfectly placed to enjoy the nearby attractions. Sleeping up to 12 guests, you’ll have full access to the dog friendly Darcey House which includes two living rooms, a spacious kitchen diner, six bedrooms, three bathrooms and a private outdoor space.
The Space:
Darcey House has premium furnishings and gorgeous interiors throughout. There are two stylish living rooms to choose from, both with comfortable sofas, flat screen TVs and working wood burning stoves to ensure you have a choice of fantastic places to relax.
Modern in style, the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could need to prepare meals easily. Also sharing this room is the dining area which includes a large dining table, black dining chairs and a bench, providing ample space for all 12 guests. Featuring a spider web hanging chandelier and gold accent mirror, the dining area is a stylish space to enjoy quality time with your loved ones.
Darcey House has six bedrooms in total. There are two king-size bedrooms located on the first floor, along with a bunk room. The rest of the bedrooms are located on the second floor.
Featuring comfy double beds, the first two second floor bedrooms are beautiful spaces. Also sleeping two guests, the next bedroom has single bunk beds.
Also located at Darcey House are three family bathrooms, all boasting walk in showers, WC and basins. A corner bathtub is also available in one of the first floor bathrooms.
Outside you’ll have access to a spacious courtyard which has outdoor furniture and garden lighting. Perfect for alfresco dining and soaking up the sunshine, this is an added bonus!
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full property. The keys to Darcey House are accessed via a key safe box, and full details will be provided prior to your stay.
Up to two well behaved dogs are welcome to stay at Darcey House per reservation. Dogs should be kept downstairs and off the furniture.
The Neighborhood:
Located in the seaside town of Scarborough, Darcey House is just a short distance to all of the attractions. Packed with seaside charm, you’ll find plenty of pubs, restaurants and cafes to discover as well as arcades and ice cream parlours.
There are a number of beaches for you to choose from. The popular South Bay is a sun trap and close to the hustle and bustle of the town centre. North Bay has been accredited with Blue Flag status meaning it’s one of the best beaches in Europe! Cayton Bay is the quietest of the three and boasts a sweeping bay with a rural feel. Lastly Cornelian Bay is the remotest and hardest to get to but it’s a hidden gem and often empty.
Ideal for all weathers, there are lots of indoor attractions in Scarborough for the whole family. Head to Sea Life Sanctuary to see seals, penguins, sharks, turtles and more or Scarborough Castle to explore its 3000 year history. If it’s outdoor fun you’re looking for, The Open Air Theatre is a short 15 minute drive from the apartment where you can see amazing bands, singers and comedians. There is also the Sky Trail Adventure and Peasholm Park nearby.
Getting Around:
Darcey House is within walking distance of all that Scarborough has to offer and within 1 hours’ drive time of Staithes, Whitby, Robin Hood’s Bay and Filey.
Scarborough Train Station is a 15-minute walk away and has routes to Filey, Bridlington, York, Leeds, Hull, Sheffield, Manchester and Liverpool.
There are plenty of bus routes throughout Scarborough. Hop on the 12 route and you can visit neighbouring seaside spots of Filey and Bridlington. The X93 travels through to Middlesbrough with drop offs in Robin Hood’s Bay and Whitby.
