Relax and enjoy the local restaurants, sun, sand and surf at Carabassi beach! Situated between Alicante and Santa Pola, on the Mediterranean Sea, Gran Alacant is only a 10 minute drive from El Altet (Alicante) airport. Just next to Carabassi beach, this is an ideal base for all types of holiday (couple, family or small group). Casa de Kiwi has three bedrooms including 2 double beds and 2 single beds with air conditioning throughout. A private solarium can be found on the roof terrace. Two bedrooms and bathroom on the first floor. Fully equipped kitchen, dinning room, lounge (with all modern appliances including Euro satellite TV, WiFi Fibre Internet) and second bathroom on the ground floor. Large third bedroom located on the basement level. Large shared pool & kids pool. Relax and enjoy the local restaurants, sun, sand and surf at Carabassi beach!

Neighbouring towns include Elche (inland), Alicante (to the north) and Guadamar (to the south), all are worth a visit. The salt lakes just south of Santa Pola are another interesting aspAect of this area as is the Nature Reserve 'El Cot' which is just 2 minutes walk from the Villa and includes many migratory birds. Arenales del Sol can be reached by foot and includes a wonderful palm lined promenade for a cool evening stroll. Benidorm with all its attractions, including Terra Mitica theme park, Aqualandia water park and Mundomar animal park is just 1 hour's drive to the north, while Torrevieja which boasts the largest street market in Spain is 25 minutes drive south.

Disgusting property
First, I had to climb over the gate to get the key as it was locked, bad start. Second, the utensils should have been put in the bin they were dirty and disgusting, I had to soak the pan, I had to buy scouring pads to clean the pan. The pots were filthy with residue of previous cooking, I bought metal scouring pads to clean them. Mugs were put away dirty which I washed, never drank from them as I bought 3 new mugs. The settee and chairs were dirty and not very comfortable, might as well have sat on a timber bench. The AC in the lounge didn’t work, but there was an electric radiator “hooray “ never used the shower off the lounge as it was dirty and needed a lot of attention. All beds had headboards which were not fixed to the beds and so any movement during the night the headboard would bang against the wall, not very good for the neighbours. Positivity at last, the AC units in the bedrooms “worked” and were warm. Back to normal now, the entrance to the solarium by the door was black and a poor sight. All in all I could not give this property a positive rating, so it’s a -5 from me, that’s minus 5 rating. Stay clear as you have been warned. There was no cooking done in the property as I respect my health. The agent I spoke to took photos of my concerns too.

Adored our stay at Kiwi. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything one would need and the welcome pack was perfect for our late arrival. The hosts were very accommodating and were a phone call away when we needed them.

Villa was great, pool right opposite. Martin and Mark who manage the property were super helpful!! Would recommend a car to get to the gorgeous beach and around as it's a bit of a treck. Would def return with a car!

Casa funcional con aire acondicionado y ventiladores en el techo en todas las habitaciones ayudaron gratamente de refrescarnos después de la playa o la piscina de la comunidad. La playa a 15-20 minutos andando anuque bajamos con el coche en 3. Playa larga y espaciosa sin mucha congestión especialmente por las tardes cuando la mayoría se habían ido a comer y descansar. Actividades acuaticas disponibles en la Playa del Carabasi a precios razonables. Gratamente sorprendido por el nivel de la comida tanto en los supermercados cercanos como los restaurantes.

As 'senior citizens' walking to the beach in the heat was not realistically possible, therefore we were pleased we had chosen to hire a car, although parking was extremely limited by permanent residents on either side. We did not find supermarkets within reasonable walking distance, and restaurants that were local, lacked ambiance. Pool area was excellent, but the lack of outdoor eating area at the house, that was not over-looked, limited enjoyment. Satellite TV did not work. Hemos estado muy a gusto
La valoración es muy positiva. La casa está muy bien, con todo lo necesario para pasar u nos días tranquilos y agradables. La playa preciosa, nosotros hemos ido en coche y no se tarda nada además hay aparcamiento sin problema. Andando está a unos 20 min. Martin muy atento y agradable. Repetiremos!

La estancia en Casa de Kiwi , ha sido muy confortable, y encantadora.. La persona que nos recibió Martin. muy simpático y amable. ..fuimos 2 parejas y un bebé de 11 meses. ella lo disfrutó muchísimo, jaja En general hemos disfrutado de una estancia de 4 noches muy placenteras , relajadas y en familia. que realmente era lo que deseábamos...la playa muy cerquita,, se podía ir a pie 800 m.. pero el calor era tan intenso fue mejor utilizar el coche.. La localización del chalet no fue exactamente la que figura, ya que tiene dos tipos de identificación.. una por Avenida de Polonia Nº 6 y otra por Casa Kiwi- Avenida de Polonia Nº.630. es lo que nos lio un poco....ya que fuimos directamente a la primera dirección...pero vino Martin y nos condujo al sitio...(eso por no haber llamado a Mark como nos sugirió.. y nos fuimos por nuestra cuenta directamente) la propiedad estaba limpia. pero faltaban bombillas en las escaleras,,,, Teníamos accesorios de limpieza, en la casa .. muy de agradecer. la verdad ,, en los aseos jabón de mano y papel higienice., para la llegada el sistema de agua caliente es por butano y caldera.. perfecto funcionó... si que se echó de menos un microondas la atención del propietario fue buena Aunque sugiero que durante esos meses de tanta atención a los turistas, deberían tener mas personal auxiliar...el argumento que no dábamos a basto o estamos a tope por parte del propietario ,demuestra falta de organización y atención dando una fea imagen . Recuerdo que le notificamos de ciertas alteraciones dentro del chalet, (llamo mi esposo a Mark) dejo de funcionar el mando a distancia del aire acondicionado del salón, el llenado de una botella donde va el agua del mismo se llenaba con mucha frecuencia, las bombillas, etc.. recibieron el mensaje pero no vinieron a corroborarlo o llamarnos para decirnos algo (entiendo estaban saturado de trabajo) !!! .. cierto es que tan solo eran 4 días.. recomendaría. esta propiedad teniendo en cuenta estos puntos. que desde luego son solucionables. y no alteran en absoluto el buen relax no hemos salido de la propiedad a conocer lugares cercanos.. porque realmente por tan poco tiempo de estancia , como dije anteriormente disfrutamos del sitio, de su piscina hermosa, caminatas dentro de la urbanización.. y PLAYA que es muy limpia, amplia y hermosa... en general, un buen lugar para recargar las energías y pasarlo en familia.. lo recomiendo gracias

det var bra, fin bostad, men vi saknade bra sängar. sängarna var olämpliga, hårda och inte sköna att ligga i utom en. inte en liter vatten i kylskåpet fram tills man kan handla nästa dag.

A brilliant villa!
What an enjoyable holiday! There were 6 of us in our party. We arrived on the 25th July '16 earlier than planned. We rang Mark/Martin to see if it was possible to get into the villa before the 2pm. They said that would be fine and within 10 minutes Martin arrived. We were shown around by Martin who was very helpful. We were very pleased with the villa. We stayed for 14 days. The position of the villa is easily accessible to Gran Alicant, Santa Pola and Alicante by the local bus at a nominal price. There were supermarkets locally too which was handy. The communal pool is straight out of the villa. My youngest son absolutely loved going swimming and we used it every day. The beach is about 20 minutes walk. What a lovely beach! There was a bar on the beach too which was handy selling drinks and food. Would I go back to the villa again ,my answer would be a definite Yes!

Pleasant stay
We stayed for two weeks in Feb 2016 as a winter break. Weather good - warm & sunny 50%, other days windy/cloudy but not cold - we wore shorts most days. Just one day of rain. Villa immaculate, clean & modern. Sitting/dining room overlooks communal garden. Good size bedrooms, comfy double bed. Useful safe in wardrobe. Well-fitted bath & shower rooms. Compact kitchen had all necessary items (a microwave would be a nice addition). To have UK TV & Wifi was a blessing in the cooler evenings. We enjoyed sunbathing on the roof terrace. NB Good advice from UK permanent neighbours to turn heating off temporarily when cooking to avoid tripping fusebox, as they put it 'heat or eat'! The villa is in a small development around a shared central garden & pool. Well maintained & attractive, pool clean & sparkling, though as unheated we didn't use it. The Clot de Galvany nature reserve is very close, & we had pleasant walks there. Carabassi beach is a 15-20 minute walk, a beautiful long stretch of sand, reached by boardwalks over the dunes. There is a small shop, plus bars & restaurants 10 minutes walk away. Here you can take the road train to the Commercial Centre, with larger shops & eateries. We used Lidl & also Mercadona - great for fruit & veg - & super cakes! Not having hired a car, we took the bus from the main beach road for a day in Alicante. Cost just over €3 each for return journey (buy outward ticket on bus & return in Alicante bus station). We visited the magnificent hilltop castle (free entry, pay for lift up) and the Contemporary Art Centre (again free). Our local contacts, Mark & Martin, were friendly & helpful - with indepth knowledge of the area. All in all, a relaxing stay in a healthy environment, with comfortable accommodation.
