I’m still waiting for a response and refund. Dear Hotel,
I am writing to express my deep distress and disappointment regarding a serious incident that occurred during my stay at the Nattivo Collection Hotel. My reservation number is _____, and I checked in on August 5th and was supposed to stay until Friday. I traveled solo as I am a travel blogger and writer on the side and I am writing a piece on Colombia. Regretfully, I had to check out after only a few hours.
The night I checked in, I went to bed early as I wasn’t feeling well. In the middle of the night, I was abruptly awakened by someone entering my room unannounced. I screamed in fear, and thankfully, the safety latch on the door prevented them from fully entering. Without saying a word, the person quickly shut the door and left. This left me feeling extremely violated and unsafe, unable to sleep for the remainder of the night. By 4 am, I was forced to book an early return flight, cutting short the vacation I had planned due to the overwhelming fear of staying any longer.
The following morning, I reported this terrifying incident to the front desk staff. To my dismay, they did not initially show concern or offer any form of apology. It was only after I insisted that I felt unsafe and needed to leave immediately that they began to take my situation seriously. I was informed that I would be given a full refund and was advised to follow up with Expedia.
After further investigation, I was told that
