We very much enjoyed our stay at he Buenaventura Grand Hotel. The only negative was the food. As all-inclusive guests and, I'm assuming because of the room we chose, we were given wrist bands giving us access to all restaurants and areas of the resort. In order to dine in the two more exclusive restaurants we had to make reservations every day between 9:00 am -1:00 pm by talking to a special reservations person. If you miss the window or the person is not at the desk you either eat outside of the resort or the buffet. Neither of us thought the food in the exclusive restaurants or the buffet was all that great, mostly it seemed preprepared and a bit dried out. The rooms, bars/drinks, pools, staff etc. were all great. We also didn't care for having someone continuously ask us attend a 90 minute presentation about the "Loyalty Program". Although they said it is not a time share, we assume it is similar. Anytime you walk through the lobby someone would try to talk to you about it. We would definitely stay there again, but would not make reservations at the more exclusive restaurants.
