The house is composed of an apartment for 4 or 6 persons on the top floor.
From the apartment it is possible to appreciate the peace of the surrounding countryside. The furnishing is refined and elegant and all the comforts are provided.

Casa Arokaria, located in the mountainous municipality of Voukolies, is famous for its production of fine quality olive oil with its well known beneficial properties. The local inhabitants of the area, who are mostly engaged in agriculture and livestock farming, are friendly and hospitable. In addition to olive oil, the region produces dairy products, honey, wine, fruit and vegetables. Casa Arokaria is secluded, yet still close to all holiday attractions. The area is tranquil with no noise from cars or neighboring houses and is surrounded by many unique, beautifully landscaped aromatic herb and vegetable gardens. The hospitable owner and his family are on hand for advice and information whenever it is needed. Casa Arokaria is a perfect vacation for either families or couples.
This area is also host to some world-renowned sights that are definitely worth a visit if you are in this region. These attractions include the 3,000 year-old Olive Tree of Vouves, the most ancient olive tree in the world, and the olive museum adjacent and the Karavitakis Winery, which has been involved in Cretan winemaking for many years and exports thousands of bottles overseas. It is also worth visiting the Terra Creta olive mill, the holy monastery of Gonia Kolymbari, the Deres Horse Riding center and the German WWII cemetery in Maleme.
Casa Arokaria is ideally situated a few minutes away from the cosmopolitan resort of Platanias (12 km) and the closest beach of Tavronitis is a mere 6 km away. Other beaches worth visiting nearby include the sandy beach of Kastelli (7 km) and the beach of Kaliviani (15 km). It is also an ideal base for those wishing to make excursions to the most famous beaches of western Crete such as ancient Falassarna with its long white sandy beach (25 km), breathtaking Elafonissi beach with its beautiful pink sand (50 km) and Gramvousa-Balos can be visited by ferry from Kissamos town.
In the village of Voukolies, guests will find a few small traditional taverns, a mini market, a pharmacy and a bank at a short driving distance, about 3 km away from the house, a gas station is approximately 4 km away.
