Verbesserungswürdig: Sauberkeit, Personal & Service und Ausstattung
Since we had a very late flight to New York, it was clear from the start that we wouldn't arrive at the hotel until after midnight. I had to call twice and write three emails before I got a reasonable answer.
We arrived at the hotel at around 2:00 am. A very grumpy night porter first wanted the credit card to block a security deposit of $400. This is not stated anywhere, neither on the Expedia website nor on the hotel website. It was made clear to us, no credit card - no room, what's the point??!!
The man was too stupid to use his credit card reader. The security deposit was reserved twice, a total of about $800, very professional!! After 9 days, these reservations were finally deleted.
The room was really bad. The bathroom door was stuck, the fan in the bathroom didn't work. The window was bent and didn't close properly. The room faced the inner courtyard, where a huge air conditioning system rattled day and night. We asked for another room the next day and got one. The room was OK, but there was a big wall in front of the window.
When I asked what that meant, I was clearly told that 3rd batch bookings, for example Expedia, only get the remaining rooms. The good rooms with a view of the park are only available for guests booked directly with the hotel. That's really intense!!!
Our room was cleaned once in 4 days. When asked, it was said that you have to actively announce or order. With all due respect, I've never heard that before.
Just as a side note, the breakfast is real
