Our experience in Paris was wonderful. The only downside was that we thought breakfast was included in the rate. The breakfast itself was rolled slices of ham, cheeses, baguettes, french pastries, cereal, juice, coffee, and hot tea. The cost was 10 euros per person. Quite steep when you could walk down the street and get a decent breakfast for two for 20 euros. The location of the hotel was very convenient. It was about two blocks away from a metro station and train/bus/metro hub. Getting around Paris is very easy when using the metro system. Simply purchase a book of tickets for a reduced price which allows you on and off the trams. The location is south of everything, but the metro can get you to any attraction within 20-30 minutes. Once at the attraction, everything is within walking distance, which may be up to 2 miles either direction. In all, Paris is absolutely amazing and easily overshadows any small inconveniences about the hotel. The room sizes are average compared to other rooms in Paris. The hotel made us turn in our key every time we left the hotel, which is common amongst other hotels throughout Europe. Finally, remember to bring an outlet converter, but most of all, simply relax and enjoy everything Paris has to offer.
