Stay at Shimmering Waters
We stayed at Shimmering Waters for four nights at the end of October. We were picked up in Kingston by Bakerdon and driven up to Montego Bay (via Dunn’s River). Cannot stress enough how warm a welcome we received from Baker and how helpful he was throughout our stay. Any day trips we wanted to take, Baker was happy to guide and oblige. The house is absolutely beautiful, everything worked and we wanted for nothing. There are some lovely restaurants within walking distance. Any queries we had were instantly responded to by the owner Ralph, who was fantastic. A delicious breakfast was prepared daily by Chef Royal. There was another chef available for lunch and dinner if we had needed. Nisha, our housekeeper kept the house spotless and had our washing cleaned, dried and folded in a flash! We absolutely loved it and would recommend it highly to anyone. A fantastic stay in a beautiful country full of amazing people. One Love!

Beautiful house and view!
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful house with stunning views and a gorgeous pool. From the moment we booked, Ralph, the host, was incredibly responsive and helpful, answering all our questions promptly. He ensured everything was perfect for our stay, both before and during our trip. Our driver, Sir Baker, was equally amazing. He was always on time, extremely courteous, and went out of his way to make our transportation smooth and stress-free. The chef, Miguel, prepared delicious meals that we thoroughly enjoyed, adding a special touch to our holiday experience. The cleaning staff also did an excellent job, maintaining the house in pristine condition throughout our stay. Overall, me and my family had a fantastic time and I would highly recommend this place to all my friends and family.

I have done a few villas in Jamaica and they never disappoint. My family really enjoy their stay at this specific facility. Miguel was our chef.... he was simply amazing! His personality, his interactions, and most of all his food were everything that I would have expected it to be. I had an incident that Ralph took care of without hesitation. If there wasn't so many places for me to stay in Jamaica, I would definitely come back to this house again! We even got massages by the recommended masseuse for this villa.

Royal Hospitality!!
We were a family of 5 traveling to Jamaica for the first time. We were very hesitant with the travel warnings and especially because we were with our 2 beautiful daughters. Upon arrival at the airport we met Sir Baker! He is the most charismatic person we have ever met! He was a wealth of knowledge when it came to restaurants, excursions, museums, and the history of Jamaica. No matter where we went on the island "EVERYONE" knew Sir Baker! It was like having your own personal security guard. We felt so safe with him that our daughters got to enjoy some of the nightlife on their own. By the time we left our daughters cried when he said goodbye. Sir Baker definitely made our trip the best ever! The property was so meticulously maintained inside and out. The pictures are exactly as advertised and bigger in person. Our daughters loved the home especially because everyone could have their own space to hang out from the family room with games, to the tennis courts. Mom and dad enjoyed quite tv time in our own master suite with separate sitting room and a beautiful balcony to watch spectacular sunsets! The host- Mr Ralph was very attentive and so responsive no matter what time. He was welcoming and made us feel so special. We celebrated my husband's 60th birthday and Mr Ralph had the house decorated with balloons and a cake, He is super thoughtful. Exceptional hospitality! Miss Mitchelle, and Miss Corieta were also amazing, always made sure we had clean towels and super kind.

The Most Amazing Experience, Gratitude!!!!
I cannot express how much fun I had visiting the island of Jamaica for the first time. There was no better way to celebrate my birthday, and I owe that to the Shimmering Waters team. Prior to booking the home, Mr. Ralph was prompt to answer questions. I saw from his response I was in good hands and booked immediately with ONLY four days until arrival. Once I booked, Mr. Ralph shared all relevant travel and hospitality information with me. He made sure I was aware of the C5 process, airport tips, and suggested points of contact for listed house amenities. Then here comes Mr. Baker (driver and tour guide). He connected with me right away to see if I was interested in his services (shuttle from airport, tours, etc.). I am SSSOOOOO happy I used Mr. Baker. He was absolutely the plug for the trip. He made EVERYTHING happen. *Bonus is he is punctual and professional! The housekeeping staff were so responsive and professional. Ms. Dee and Ms. Sandra are amazing. The house was so well kept. They went through a brief orientation during check in and made us feel right at home. Everyone was able to have laundry done before we departed, a plus. Lastly, I would just like to express my gratitude to this amazing team. The extra touches that were not expected made this experience even more special. I entered the home, I came in to a large “Happy Birthday (with name)”banner with a balloon arch! On my birthday night, I came in & Ms. Sandra was there with a surpirse birthday cake. 4eva fam!

A perfect spot if you have several family members traveling with you. 3 bedrooms, gated community, very safe, quiet. Private pool, kitchen, big TV area. Walking distance to spa at Secrets (or the masseuse will come to you!). Short drive to shopping, restaurants and nightlife. The owner and the staff are very responsive. The unit comes with chef, housekeeper, etc. The best part is Sir Baker the driver, who will take you all over, set up the tours you need, make sure the bookings all work out. He's ready to go at any time and reliable. He knows *everyone*. Just make sure you tell him what you want to do (or take his suggestions) and he will make it happen. Yeah mon! One Love.

Absolutely Fantastic!
Another reviewer said it best – “if you are looking for a property, don’t delay select this one now!” They were right. This property is well maintained, very clean, and the views are amazing! Additionally, as we were celebrating a monumental birthday for my significant other with our 14 year old, I was looking for a place that was spacious, near the water, with great views and had a pool. Shimmering Waters checked each box and continued to exceed expectations from the moment I made the reservation. The host – Ralph – was very attentive and I must say that meant a great deal to me as I’m known for my attention to detail which can drive some a little crazy! Ralph took it all in stride and actually matched my level of detail, many times surpassing my expectations with every response. We also utilized service providers that were recommended by Ralph which included a driver, a chef, and a person to take us out on the water. I must say each person we engaged with and the resulting experience was absolutely wonderful. Even the persons who managed the home looked after our every need and were overly kind. I have nothing but wonderful commentary about the home, the host and the Shimmering Water’s team. We will always return to Ralph’s property when we visit Jamaica. I had the pleasure of staying at Shimmering Waters on my recent jamaica trip, and I can't say enough about the exceptional experience I had. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this place was meticulously maintained. The excellent housekeeping was evident in every corner of the property, ensuring a pristine and inviting atmosphere. The gated community (the Lagoons) is quite and beautiful. The security does not play and is very attentive and strict with who can enter and exit, yet welcoming and friendly. They take pride in there job I must give a special shoutout to the wonderful staff member, Dorothy, who went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and hassle-free. Her warm hospitality and attentiveness were truly remarkable. Transportation was a breeze thanks to the great Mr. Baker, making it convenient to explore the area. He ensured we were safe and comfortable everywhere we went. His knowledge and pride of his country try is evident and professionalism is too notch. The owner and host of Shimmering Waters deserve all the praise as well. His dedication to ensuring clear communication and a flawless stay was evident throughout my visit. The amenities provided were top-notch, making my stay even more enjoyable. The cleanliness, serenity, and safety of the location added to the overall satisfaction of my stay. Shimmering Waters is definitely worth staying at if your going to experience Jamaica with a group or family. Our group of 6 all first timers; celebrating anniversaries arrived to rose petals, a cute towel design on the bed, balloons and Champagne. Ralph is an incredible host. He was available, accommodating and very friendly. He was attentive when I experienced an issue with the master shower. He had the plumber out the next day to fix the issue. Also, the pool umbrella was mangled in a storm and was fixed by the staff the next day. The place was clean, safe, secluded and has lots of amenities. We utilized the recommendations of CHEF Merrick (OMG) food was delicious, reasonable and he is in and out. He serves the food, cleans and provides a whole experience. Love it. Housekeeping and masseuse were all professional and kind. The driver Mr. Baker was knowledgeable but a little pushy to utilize his services. Side note: Bring cash and expect to pay for transportation plus tip to travel the island. Again, a very worthy space made available for others to experience. The pool and views all breathtaking… I would recommend Shimmering Waters to anyone coming to Jamaica. Thank you Ralph and staff for making us feel welcomed and celebrated. One❤️

This place was absolutely beautiful in every way… we stayed as a party of 6 comfortable with plenty of space. The communication with all members of Shimmering waters, to include Mr. Ralph, the chef, the drivers, and the housekeeper was continuous and free flowing to ensure all our needs and wants were met, Mr. Baker (The driver) picked us up from the airport as schedule and was very friendly, he and his team, Mr. Blake was very flexible in accommodating our schedules, all amenities were as advertise, most importantly for us we found the location and scenery out of this world, especially the poolside views experience. I would rate the overall experience at Shimmering waters above 10 if I could. On my next trip to Jamaica, I will definitely be staying there.

Ralph communication was amazing through out the entire process , the property was as beautiful as the pictures I couldn't get over the view . It was safe . The entire Staff was like family literally I enjoyed every minute . Mr Baker being a driver is a understatement he's a security guard , tour guide , driver and friend . My stay was nothing short of amazing . I utilized the chef , driver , massage service and everyone service and communication was immaculate . I wish I would have stayed longer I loved it .

Both the house and everything that comes with it are amazing. Home itself is spacious, perfectly kept and the pool area is every bit as beautiful as the pictures suggest. Communication with the host was fantastic. Maybe most important, you should consider using the driver and chef service. Mr. Baker (driver) was the friendliest person you’ll meet and indispensable for getting around and finding good spots. I don’t know how we would’ve managed without him. Chef Merrick and Chef Royal prepared absolutely incredible meals, for a price comparable to restaurants. Again, both are extremely friendly and accommodating. Fantastic visit all around.

Bachelorette weekend
I booked this villa for my best friend’s bachelorette weekend, there was a total of six of us. I cannot stress how wonderful everything was, including the team. To start off Ralph, the owner, was very thorough and diligent when it came to the check in process and communicating all the information that I needed. You can make your stay as inclusive as you’d like. They offer an array of add ons from massages to a personal chef. All the work is done for you, which is exactly what you want when you’re on vacation. Mrs. Dorothy made sure we had everything we needed and the Villa was spotless. Mr. Baker was our trusted driver/ bodyguard. I would 100% recommend using the driver for anything in the area, taxis are very expensive otherwise. He was able to pick us up from the airport, which saved us a lot of time. The house was very spacious with a beautiful master bedroom. The pool area and the view were stunning. 10/10

Fantastic Experience
We stayed as a family of four (2 adults and 2 children), for a little over five weeks. The house is truly amazing with lots of space, light and a great pool. Staying in a beautiful home in Jamaica isn’t unique, but what is unique is the level of care and detail Ralph and the team take to ensure your stay is a five-star experience. Ralph has an extended optional team of a chef, a driver and a massage therapist. Although we didn’t use the car or therapist service, chef Merrick was great, preparing breakfast and dinner for us 3 or 4 times per week. The property is well maintained with the fantastic housekeeper, Tanisha, overseeing the gardener and the pool cleaner. The local area is safe, but the house being located in a gated community gives an extra level of security, which is nice. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to return!

Wonderful Experience - You won't regret staying!
Everything was amazing and exceeded our expectations! Our bachelorette trip (6 girls) stayed for 4 nights. The property is really well maintained thanks to the sweet housekeeper and grounds/pool staff. The community is gated with 24/7 guard and requires ID to get in/out, we felt very safe. There is a communal gym, tennis courts, and lap pool available. We hired a photographer to come to the house to take photos of our group and we were able to also get some amazing shots. The pool was perfect for lounging and the waterfront view was gorgeous. The house is really quiet and private. The AC worked really well and we had tons of space. There is also a small safe for valuables. 1) Ralph was a great host, he was very accomodating and allowed our group to change our dates and check in early. He's really responsive and super nice. 2) Mr. Baker was AWESOME - basically our tour guide, bodyguard, driver, and friend. We invited him to join us for dinner at the end of our stay! He's always on time or early and very professional. He is well connected and has tons of suggestions for bars, excursions and restaurants. I definitely recommend booking transportation and excursions directly with Mr. Baker rather than online because then you can be on your own time. You aren't on a shared tour bus with others, Mr. Baker is a really safe driver and is accommodating to your needs (music, bathroom breaks, starbucks stop, liquor or convenience store, etc.). 3) OMG Chef Thomas -- absolutely amazing. His recipes are unique, nothing like what you would find in a restaurant. We had delicious Jamaican cuisine - braised oxtail, brown chicken, jerk chicken, seafood boil, cocktails, fruit platters, and more. He arranged for a pastry chef to make us a stunning cake. We definitely recommend anyone stay in Shimmering Waters!!
