Bad value for money, not 5* worthy
Positive:
Nice architecture and surroundings, really friendly staff and very good food
Negative:
Room:
Many things were highly unpractical like no shade on balcony, door to balcony very hard to handle, balcony gets flooded every time pool is used, noisy pool pump, shower and sink hardly drains, cupboard too small and only 1 drawer in room
Housekeeping:
Many things like minibar, cups, glasses, toiletries often not replaced/refilled, not enough water provided, many disturbances until service is done
Restaurant / Room Service:
-Wishes often didn’t work (about every second time): e.g. a certain jam or tea, requesting scrambled eggs (since not listed among the eggs of your choice), having no sauce or no tomato
-Room Service provides no plates, no salt/pepper and there is also no table and no chairs in the room or balcony
-6 incorrect bills in total due to many versions of the same menu
Prices:
-Have been raised by 50% since last year (room and food), now incredibly elevated, even for Swiss customers (e.g. Smoothie 14€, Fruit platter 22€, local cheese 26€, Soup 26€, chips - not french fries - 10€)
-During the first days many prices in system contradicted prices in menu
- Overall impession: whenever a charge can be added it will be added
Summary:
The value for money is insufficient and the standard doesn't compare to other 5* hotels in Greece. However they really tried their best to improve our stay and to find solutions to the reported issues.
