Arrived at 22:30 on Saturday 12 October. Staff couldn’t operate their booking system. Had to wait until one guy backed free. The receptionist tried to charge me again. Once again the one person who knew what he was doing stepped in to show her where it shows I have prepaid. The 24hr food area was closed. I was advised food would be available at 06:30am after enquiring if there was anywhere in the vicinity I could find a restaurant or take away that would be open. Wandered around for ages and what would have been helpful would have been for the staff to say there was a team I could catch from airport to the local McDonald’s. Walked about 2 miles to a Chinese takeaway which wasn’t open. Then grabbed an uber to McDonald’s ate something and grabbed an uber back to hotel. The coffee machines are in the rooms however there are no pods. Enquired at reception and they don’t have any. On check out in the morning once again there was an issue about payment. Had to wait on the receptionist finding the manager (think she was reception manager) who once again can’t find the payment. I had a plane to catch and she asked me to forward email with proof of payment as they can’t find it! Hotel looks great and has lovely toiletries in bathroom, comfy bed etc. Such a shame they have inexperienced and untrained staff as it really ruins what could have been a lovely stop over. Lady at check in was a tad rude blaming everything on the hotel being new.
