Upon arrival the specifically reserved apartment was occupied. We had booked two nights and we were given the option to move into the reserved apartment for the following night. The apartment we had to accept for the first night had a strang layout, a dingy and dark living room, a damp bathroom and a lighting concept only a twisted mind would comprehend. The second apartment was better in layout with a nice roof terrace, however, sitting on that terrace we were engulfed by the smell pushed up the air vent of the restaurant kitchen three stories below - the bedroom is also on terrace level, so imagine having an open window at night. Again a strange lighting arrangement. There is nothing "boutique" about cheaply renovated, ill fitted apartments, furnished by randomly placed "furniture" from Ikea. While the central location in Malaga's beautiful old town may have its advantages, they are quickly diminished by the hellish noise level of the nightlife until 3 - 4 o'clock in the morning. Never again.
