On a tour of Lake Michigan (9 days) this was disappointing. Hotel looked good and rooms were lovely. Breakfast was abysmal. Food was moderate (tinned fruit?). Breakfast area was not maintained well during breakfast (sloppy springs to mind). Judged lady in charge to be new member of staff and sadly not up to scratch. Not judge her as being inefficient.....management fault. Mackinaw City has nothing going for it. It is only a holding station for travelling to the island. If doing it again I would recommend staying on island and not staying in city.
