Hands down services blew me away
This was, hands down, the best hostel I have stayed in. I travel often and as a single woman, safety is my number 1 concern. This hostel blew me away with their services - answers, openness, free sandwich night, lounge to read and chill in, extra towels, charging stations INSIDE your locker, shuttle to the beach, free use of full kitchen, refill drinking water...I want to go on without fear of disbelief. I am in my mid30s and my friends asked, “A hostel? Really? Are you safe? Take a hotel if you change your mind.” I am happy to give a glowing review and will recommend this place to anyone. Was so happy to stay there. Surpassed all my expectations.
For those looking for geographical info - you’re in West Hollywood, seated between 2 metro stops. Situated well between east and west LA. Safe to walk around in. Buses galore (although pubtrans in the US is pubtrans in the US. Give yourself plenty of time. Or Uber.) Post office, grocery stores, drugstores, shops, restaurants, public library all within walking distance. Flyaway bus (stop: Hollywood walking distance) takes you directly to and from LAX.
One last highlight - checkout is 10am and my flight was in the evening. I stored my luggage there as I am used to. On top of that, I was welcomed(!) and able to use any and all facilities until my flight. Shower and do yoga in the lounge area, chill outside, use the kitchen, charge my phone, fill my water bottle, vending machines. Was such a relief to have on travel day.
