The apartment was spotlessly clean with very comfortable beds and cozy blankets. The kitchen was fully equipped, although some of the non-stick pans were very old and scratched and could use an upgrade — we simply did not use them and cooked with the stainless steel pots instead. We loved the spacious living room and the view from the kitchen to the mountains. Pilar, who did our check in, was always incredibly helpful and ready to provide us with whatever we needed — including extra towels for the beach. Salut, the owner, was also super friendly and gave us lots of tips for local activities for kids.
The only down side was indeed the strong smell of manure from the fields and from the pig farm nearby. Maybe it was simply the time of year (we stayed in October when fields are fertilized), we don’t know if this is an issue at other times of the year. For us it was not a huge problem, we made a lot of jokes about it, but for people very sensitive to strong smells it could be difficult because even the drying laundry ends up absorbing the smell!
But overall this is a lovely, relaxing place to use a base for exploring the region and we highly recommend it!
