A stunning suite-newly constructed @ Preservation Forge-in the heart of downtown Lewes-named 2022's most beautiful city in America-a short walk to the beach, boutiques, restaurants, & cultural destinations of this charming town. With a fully stocked kitchen, spacious dining & lounging area, our cathedral great room is perfect for entertaining. Sleeps 4 w/ 1 King bedroom, 1 pull out Queen sofa bed, a full bath with tiled shower, & washer/dryer, just a few highlights of this 2nd story apartment.

-The Space-
Stepping into our newly renovated stylish suite, you will be awed by the reclaimed wood shiplap cathedral ceiling with original iron trusses, and under your feet, solid wide plank white oak flooring. In the gathering area, you can enjoy the electric fireplace below a solid reclaimed Heart Pine mantel and above that, a large Smart TV. The open layout leads into a large full kitchen offering an 8’ granite-topped island with 4 counter stools, accented by 2 beautiful nautical pendant lights. The kitchen is stocked with all of the amenities you would possibly need. The appliances include, a large side-by-side refrigerator with ice maker, an induction cooktop/range, microwave, a full size dishwasher, and kitchen disposal. In your dining area you can enjoy a solid reclaimed pine dining table, custom made by Old Wood Delaware, which seats 6. You’ll appreciate all of the accent lighting throughout, that enhances the ambiance of the space. Entering the area of the bedroom, you’ll notice details beyond your imagination featuring a stunning fully custom tiled designer bathroom including a floating granite-topped vanity, highlighted by under cabinet lighting and a backlit mirror. The bathroom is stocked with body soap, shampoo/conditioner, and luxury towels. As you enter the bedroom you’ll marvel at the hand inlaid wood starburst custom bed dressed with high-end linens. The room is accented by the reclaimed wood shiplap wall, full mirrored closet doors, and you will also enjoy while relaxing in bed the large smart TV.

The suite offers its own private digital keyless entrance. Included is free on-street parking as well as 1 private parking space. Enjoy your private deck off of the kitchen, including outdoor lighting. In the exterior storage closet you will find a beach cart & chairs to use as a courtesy during your stay.

Awesome property

Was exactly as advertised. Wonderful location, walking distance to restaurants, stores, etc. owner extremely responsive. Only suggestions would be a better lighted key pad, light switches in unit should be labeled and maybe more detailed instructions for heating/ ac units. Overall a wonderful stay in a comfortable well stocked apartment.

Valentine weekend get away.

Where do I start….from 1st communcation with Mary until we entered the suite just easy and awesome. Mary leaves no stone unturned in the suite. The suite has everything and anything you need at anytime. The suite is so nicely decorated and comfortable, Mary thinks of everything to make your stay remarkable. The convenience of everything near by is another reason that makes her place so great.Take my word you will have a wonderful time. A True Gem!

My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our recent getaway to Preservation Forge Suite "A". Aside from being beautifully and tastefully decorated, it is only steps away from many of Lewes' fine restaurants and shops. Inside, the suite offers a fully-equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, 50" television, and one of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in! Staying here was a real treat, and I can see us coming back. I'll surely be adding this location to my short list of "go-to" places in the Lewes area.

Tranquil and gorgeous

The suite was inviting and beautiful, well-appointed and clean. The bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve slept in, and having the blackout shades and solid construction made for ideal sleeping conditions. Fantastic property!

We thoroughly enjoyed another stay at the Forge! The location in historic Lewes is ideal for just parking the car and walking to the nearby restaurants, shops and even the beach. The reserved parking is super convenient and the property is fully and elegantly furnished. We stayed again in the suite and the studio was just perfect for in-laws.

This property is a gem! The host was wonderful and made everything seamless. The space was beautiful and was in a great location to the town, state park, and all the beaches! Exceptional property

My partner and our adult child loved our stay in this lovely and well maintained apartment. It was roomy enough that we all felt private in the evenings. Everything is as described. Great location to enjoy Lewes proper. A hot but do-able walk to the beach, but easy enough to drive if you need or want to. Mary was quick to respond to a question I had. I really appreciated the very sane and not at all onerous check out tasks. Also: make sure to visit shop below. It's the retail space for the wood working business. There are many examples of their gorgeous work in the suite, and the gentleman on site when we visited was charming and full of great info.

Perfection! 10 Star Owner and 10 Star Property

This property and the entire experience was perfect. We just completed a two week stay and this is probably the best vrbo experience we’ve had over several decades in lodgings all over the US. Starting with Mary, truly a Superhostess with the Mostess! And her team reflects her caring, thoughtful and friendly demeanor- thank you Ava, Mike, Ben and Christina for your help and local suggestions and recommendations! And thank you Ava for our delicious anniversary cake from Touch of Italy! A lovely and unexpected treat! We stayed in the larger unit and, as other reviewers have noted, it’s beautiful and perfectly equipped- even for a long stay as we had. The location is just “the Best”!
