The Nordic Place - 7 person hot tub! Close to the slopes!

This Black Hills vacation home is newly remodeled, comfy and cozy while able to sleep 10 people!  You will love what it has to offer.  Not only is it in a great location, it is tucked away in the trees providing you with incredible memories of the Black Hills, but it will provide you peace and quiet while only being a short-drive away from many attractions.

You'll walk in to the main level and find a very spacious, open, living, dining and kitchen area.  The living area features a gas fireplace, large Smart TV and comfortable seating.  The dining area will seat 6 at the dining table and 2 at the kitchen island.  The large kitchen has everything you need to make group meals.  The main level has 2 bedrooms with queen size beds and 2 bathrooms.  Walk down the spiral staircase to the lower level sleeping room.  This great space has 2 queen beds and a trundle bed and will sleep 6 more people.  The large front deck has a gas BBQ Grill, gas fire table and a 70man hot tub for enjoying the beautiful Black Hills scenery!

The location of Nordic Place is ideal - only blocks from the main Ski Lodge at Terry Peak, minutes from hiking and biking trails, golf courses, fishing streams and the town of Lead.   Historic Deadwood is just 15-minutes away and it's just under an hour drive to Mt. Rushmore and Custer State Park!   and will provide you with a lifetime of memories.

This house was very clean and we enjoyed the fireplace, views & hot tub. Wished there were laundry facilities to do towels, but we managed. Liked the location with ski slopes close by.

Christmas in the Black Hills
Cute home! Loved the Fireplace glowing and a lighted Christmas tree that invited us into a cozy home!!! Bedrooms in white felt clean. We were afraid of the fuzzy dust on fans and bedroom wall and ceiling. We swept the floors as they were needed to be swept, when we got there. The deck, steps and table and chairs and hot tub were all full of tree debris and we had to sweep that ,Too. The Wifi was disconnected Thursday morning clear through to 2:30; which finally was restored. Kids wanted to watch a Christmas story and were a bit sad . The driveway and sidewalk was a bit icy to walk on and also to drive on. It would have been great to have a dryer. Overall, we enjoyed ourself. Our grand children so enjoyed the hot tub. clean.

We enjoyed being in the wooded area. It was very beautiful and close to fun activities. We were somewhat disappointed in the cleanliness when we arrived. The rug in the living room felt very gritty and there was a lot of crumbs, popcorn pieces and number “3” under the sofa, so we knew that the cleaning person definitely had not swept under the sofa. We swept under the sofa without moving it and swept out a lot of stuff . We also vacuumed the rug which made it feel much better. We made sure to bag all of our garbage before putting it in the trash bin outside. We noticed that the person before us had not, so I just wanted to make sure you knew we had. This is a beautiful place to stay and I believe we would stay here again. One recommendation: have some additional towels/washcloths for the guests there. We were there for 5 nights with 5 adults and used the same towel all during the stay. Additional washcloths would be nice too. Thank you for opening your home! It’s beautiful.

Wonderful & Cozy
We had such a wonderful stay at this cabin. It was within walking distance to the ski lodge, which was super great. The house itself was SO cute and cozy inside.. beautiful decor/vibe and super snuggly bedding (SERIOUSLY! I usually hate hotel bedding and bring my own blankets, but didn't have to use any of my own here). We really enjoyed the hot tub at the end of the day after skiing. My kids were also SUPER excited about their beds in the basement. They thought it was so cool that they got to climb up ladders to get to their bed. We had a really special time!

3 bedrooms one bedroom being the entire basement with 4 beds down stairs using the spiral staircase. And the other two being connected by a Jack and Jill bathroom but it was a good spot for us staying so close to the mountain

Lovely holiday vacation
We enjoyed our stay at the Nordic Place over Christmas 2022. The house was warm and cozy even in sub-zero temperatures. A long soak in the hot tub was the perfect way to end a day of skiing. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed and the owners were helpful in answering our questions. Highly recommend!

Clean, cozy, modern retreat!
We stayed at Nordic Place for 3 nights and we used up every available sleeping space in the house. It's not a huge space and there's not a ton of room for luggage (not a single drawer or closet in the place), but it's laid out well and is super bright, airy, and clean! The beds were comfy and we loved the hot tub and the fire pit for S'mores. I didn't notice when I made the reso, but there is not a Washer and Dryer...this was an assumption on my part since most VRBO's tend to have them, so just pack accordingly. We absolutely loved our stay, though, and the location was great for exploring Mt. Rushmore, Spearfish, Deadwood, etc. We didn't want to leave. Thank you so much for such a great experience

On-line property pictures made property appear larger. It was wet in the basement, with mold. No easy access to basement, and 4 beds were in one small room. Only room for 2 adults to stay upstairs.

Perfect for friends weekend
Everything was updated and beautifully decorated. The kitchen and bathrooms had everything we needed. Linens and pillows were plush and plentiful. and a nightstand, light and outlet by every bedside...love that! The basement where the 2 loft beds were was very cold but there were plenty of blankets and a heater if needed. They did have an issue with water on the floor there but it was probably due to lots of rain and the guest services was quick to report and very nice to call. The hot tub looked brand new, very nice and plenty of towels and hooks through out the house. We would definately stay there again.
