Be prepared for snow during the winter season. Please carry chains. If the driveway is snowed in, you can park in the parking lot just past the cabin on Park Road. Back in perpendicular and leave your phone number in case the snowplow needs you to move.
Due to the rustic nature of the Knotty Cabin, the stairs are steep and narrow. Use caution and always hold the handrail. There are uneven rock paths surrounding the cabin. There are steps into all entrances into the cabin.
