The apt, the folks who work for the mgmt group-all wonderful. Super clean, all brand new- very large- the beds were so comfortable. The interior is great. No elevator so it is a pretty tough 5th floor walk up. The keys to the interior doors from the street take some jiggling and talking nice to, made it stressful coming in at night with leering vagrants on the street. But it may have been the set they cut for me. Best to take the train and not bring a car unless you have to have one, parking is not expensive with ParkMobile App, but really really tough to find spots- we were there Fri-Mon. So, the neighborhood.. immediately in front of the the building is a bodega, that doesn’t attract the best folks. And they all sit about 5 ft from the main entrance to the building - the liquor store a few stores down also was very busy in the evening. A few blocks away there are nice restaurants etc, but a few times my friend and I went out we were uncomfortable. Police activity, etc. Not ideal for traveling with little kids or teens IMO, plus the walk up is a lot. Weird dichotomy with being in the apt and immediately outside. Maybe for the right group it would be fine.
