Experience this restored 1932 craftsman bungalow in the heart of Belhaven, thoughtfully reimagined into a private guest suite and curated gallery of local art. The Belhaven Arts Hideaway blends historic charm with modern design, and features original works from local artists (many available for purchase).
Located just one block from Belhaven University and two blocks from the Eudora Welty House & Garden, you'll be perfectly situated to explore one of Jackson's most historic neighborhoods.
This bright, walk-out basement suite offers large west-facing windows, a private entrance, and views of the enclosed backyard, giving you both privacy and abundant natural light.
The open living area is designed for comfort and style, with a 50" smart TV, cozy seating, and a fully equipped kitchen -- perfect for anything from a quick breakfast to a relaxed dinner.
The custom kitchen features concrete countertops, stainless steel appliances, and handcrafted details including salvaged cypress open shelving.
In the bedroom, you will find a comfortable queen bed, a second smart TV, and ample storage with built-in cabinetry and a spacious closet.
The bathroom includes a walk-in shower, modern concrete finishes, and all essentials including soap, shampoo, conditioner, and a hair dryer. (Note: the bathroom layout is not wheelchair accessible.)
Step just outside your private entrance to enjoy a well-lit patio, ideal for morning coffee or evening drinks.
A full-size washer and dryer are also available inside the suite for your longer stays.
Check-out is easy at the Belhaven Arts Hideaway. There's no need for a full cleaning -- just leave the suite in generally tidy condition, start the dishwasher, and we'll take care of the rest!
A reserved parking space is available in the carport behind the house (with additional free parking available on the street), and the private entrance to the suite is just steps away.
Other things to note:
The living room TV includes free Samsung TV Plus channels, and both TVs allow you to sign in to your own streaming services.
For longer stays (beyond two weeks), you may need to replenish some of the consumable starter supplies such as coffee, sugar, creamer, TP, soaps, etc.
