Wonderful days in the mountain
We rented this tiny home over the 4th of July weekend and fell in love with the area! Cashiers and Highlands are beautiful places with lots of fun things to explore. We found waterfalls, great food and good hiking in the area. The house was just as described and felt very quaint. Well equipped for the short stay. I would think it would feel tight with more than 2 but depends on your situation probably. Would rent again!

host was very accommodating and communicative. the house is very cute and the decor was a stunner. they even had a cute christmas tree lit up in the front window at arrival - nice touch. my kids loved the bunk beds and board games. nice towels and bedding. has both a reg coffee maket and a keurig. the views to and at the property are beautiful. the neighborhood is quiet and cute.

Great Views and Location
The views are spectacular and it’s is a very unique neighborhood of tiny mountain homes. That being said the house was missing a few things and a few things were broken. The kitchen was stocked fairly well but we could not find a cutting board. Outside was an odd electric George Forman grill vs a traditional grill but we could not get it to work. The umbrella for the outdoor dining table was also broken. We tried to use the oven inside and although no smoke was produced the detectors went off. My guess they detected carbon monoxide from the gas oven. The home is small but laid out very efficiently. The internet works fairly well when you are inside but spotty when you’re on the back porch. The bed is very comfortable but unusually high off the ground. It’s a platform bed so you don’t need a box spring but the owner has a deep mattress and a deep box spring which makes the bed very high off the ground. This height forces you to crawl in and out of the bed. The owner was quick to respond to any questions we had. Other than these few issues it’s a nice house and a great location to experience the Cashiers/Highland area of NC.

Very Disappointing
We were charmed by the pictures of this tiny home and the views and were excited for our long weekend here. But soon as we arrived on Friday we learned the ac was not working. It was hot inside and out. It was miserable. We spoke with the property mgr who said he would try to get someone out that day. We spent a very uncomfortable sleepless night. We figured out 2 things going on with the ac. The living room unit was not cooling at all. The bedroom unit was cooling weakly but had a lock on the thermostat that only allowed you to change the temperature for 2 hours at a time, then it would revert back to a high preset temperature. The HVAC was repaired on Saturday afternoon. The HVAC repairman recharged a leaking freon system and showed us how to reset the thermostat so it would not arbitrarily go higher. I requested a $382 credit for one night and was told that the owner approved a credit of $114. After one week of back and through multiple messages, I have received no credit. I was told that we should have opened the windows because it wasn't hot outside at night. With no fans there was no air circulation. I heard rumors of bears in the area, so even if there had been a breeze...I am so incredibly disappointed by this experience. The ac not working was more than a few hours of inconvenience and discomfort. Poor customer service.

Serene & chic with a view
It’s hard to find a mountain abode that checks the boxes of serene and chic and also has a fabulous view. Most are cabins, and — let’s admit it — are frumpy in their decor. Not this gem. My husband and I enjoyed a very relaxing Thanksgiving week in this lovely Tiny House. Pictures are 100% true to experience, with the exception that I think the view is better in person. Owners very responsive and eager to help clarify a couple confusions / misunderstandings we had in how amenities provided worked. Recommend.

Perfect Respite
Looking for a place to enjoy time away for a personal pilgrimage, I found this designer cottage. Ambience is of utmost importance to me, and this fit me perfectly for what I wanted. A mix of elegance and cabin-y feel. For the size of it, I was glad to be alone with my personal things including my art supplies to paint small pieces while there. (I am a super neat painter!) Grateful for my time there and for how hospitable my hosts were. Will definitely book again!

Great property!! Perfectly located between Highlands and Cashiers. Only draw back is not being able to use the hot tub on the patio. Otherwise, the cabin has everything you could need. Our kids loved the board games provided and the kitchen had all the essentials for cooking and grilling!

A True Mountain Getaway!
My experience was simply wonderful. Communication before I booked , while I booked, and once I arrived was excellent. Abraham and Joseph were very efficient with making me feel comfort and ease and quickly replied to any of my questions or concerns. The house is simply devine from the interior decor to the best mountain views I have ever seen. Everything pictured on the website was exactly the way it actually was. The area of Highlands/Cashiers offers so much: from hiking , lake swimming, fine dining , and great coffee shops. The home is located centrally to everything , yet still offers privacy and peacefulness. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a cooler temperature, relaxing retreat from the grind of city or suburban life. You will not be disappointed!

Great home base for outdoor activities!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the tiny house! We are 2 adults and one child (7yo) and we were very comfortable. The home is very centrally located between Highlands and Cashiers which allowed us to easily visit several area waterfalls. Beds were very comfortable. Home is cozy and beautifully decorated.

MUST STAY AT THIS HOME!!
So let me start by saying DO NOT let a couple poor reviews prevent you from staying at this property. There were just two of us. We loved EVERYTHING about this home. The highest quality and most beautiful decor. The house is tiny. Don’t expect it not to be. It’s just perfect for two people and had absolutely everything we needed. The owner answered our questions immediately and was very pleasant to work with. Top notch!! I texted him a question about the thermostat and he answered me promptly. The neighbors were friendly and we even had some sweet doggie visitors. This cottage is in an entire gated community of tiny houses. Explore the neighborhood. It’s amazing! Even a fire pit for community use. It’s perfectly situated between the Highlands and Cashiers. Easy 15 min trip to either town. The cottage is comfortable, beautiful and so is the deck and surrounding areas. I don’t understand the petty low rated reviews people gave this place. I’m so glad I went with my gut and will definitely be back. Book this home!! You will NOT regret it!
