When we arrived, the receptionist was busy upstairs and asked us to wait. However, the computer monitor is placed facing the door. So, when you are at the reception, you can see who has checked in, in which room and whether they had payed or not. That way, we already knew that we had payed and which room we should be in. After about 10 minutes, he had time to check us in - only to find that we apparently checked-in already. Our room was given to somebody else, because their last name started with the same letter as ours and for him that was confusing. He ran around to find us a room and after some time, he led us to a room in the basement. It was smelly, the windows showed walls, the lock was broken, it was dirty, there were stains and scratches on the walls. Since it was late and we knew they were fully booked, we didn't say anything. At least we had a place to sleep that night.
After some time, we identified the source of the smell. It was a tiny basket in the bathroom, which sole purpose was to keep the toilet paper. So, we put it in the staircase and kept the toilet paper in the bathroom at the same place the basket had been before.
When we tried to enter the promised wi-fi, we had no connection - probably because we were in the basement. So, we had to sit on the stairs or the breakfast room to be able to get online. Breakfast was ok. No eggs, no fresh fruits though. Also, no receptionist in the morning. You need to leave your keys unattended at the receptionists desk.
