The staff was amazing and really doing their best.
The hostel is in decent condition, and basically well-designed.
BUT it's cold. The room is cold and no hot water either. I managed a quick wash for 2 days, then went to a local swimming pool for a proper shower.
The mattresses are too thin and flimsy, not overly comfortable.
Do NOT use the couch in the lounge. When I got up, my trousers were sticking to my legs and I couldn't use them until the next wash.
There's a major construction site right next to the hostel. No way to escape that noise and can't really open the window for the dust, either. Sure, it's close to the train station and stuff, but you pretty much need earplugs if you plan on having a lie in or otherwise hang out during the day.
Finally, it's a bit like an easyjet flight - everything costs extra. E.g. check-in starts at 4pm, even if rooms are free. If you want in earlier, there's a charge. If you just want to leave your suitcase until that time ... there's a charge.
