Das Hotel liegt an einer breiten, flachen Straße, fünf Minuten von Gatlinburg und dem Nationalpark sowie 8 Minuten von den Sehenswürdigkeiten in Pigeon Forge entfernt. Wir haben Parkplätze für 6 Autos auf unserer großen Einfahrt. Das Hotel liegt an einem Ende des Resorts, umgeben von Grünflächen, die ein ruhiges Bergerlebnis bieten.  Sehr schöne Erfahrung mit Outback Rentals. Wir planten einen improvisierten Kurzurlaub in Gatlinburg und hatten Glück, dieses Haus zu finden -. Die Buchung war einfach über das Telefon, die Preise waren einige der vernünftigsten, die ich je gesehen habe, insbesondere die Reinigungsgebühr usw. Das Einchecken war ein Kinderspiel, das Zuhause war sehr schön, sehr sauber und meine Gruppe von Teenager-Mädchen hat den Platz sehr genossen. Das Internet war fantastisch, großer Smart TV, Betten sehr bequem, nur ein schöner Rückzugsort für das Wochenende.

Annual Thanksgiving Weekend Trip
Each year our family travels to Gatlinburg for the Thanksgiving weekend. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Swagman property and would rent it again. The home is relatively new construction, thoughtfully laid out, with plenty of room for our family of six. Nice furniture in the livingroom, although could have used another chair. Beds were fine however the pull-out sofa upstairs was not - probably could benefit from leaving a mattress pad on site for guests to use. One thing I always wish more owners would do is stock rentals with more than enough towels. We washed towels twice during our stay. Nice washer/dryer though so made washing laundry not so bad. The neighborhood is gated which is nice. The driveway was pleasantly not so steep that you couldn't walk down (as with some of the properties that we have stayed at in the past) which is important to me, personally, so I could get in a walk each day since there was no community gym on site. The kitchen was well equipped with everything that we needed to cook a quick meal. A lot of reviews mentioned having to live out of suitcases because of no dressers. This wasn't a big issue for us however it would have been helpful to have a closet to throw the suitcases in rather than the bedroom floors (especially with teens/young adults) but I appreciate the need for owners to have some dedicated space that guests cannot access. Noticed a couple of things at check in that the cleaning crew left not quite completed.

Repeat Get Away
Went to this cabin again for the 3rd year. We love that it’s off the spur between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. It’s at the top of a mountain in a gated community. It’s absolutely wonderful to get out and walk and it does have bears around. Very comfortable and spacious.

Good: The house is in a quiet, peaceful location with great views. The house itself is beautiful, big and spacious with great fixtures, a great wrap around porch to enjoy nature. Saw bears 4 out of the 5 days we were there. The location was the best part- took us 11 minutes to get to Dollywood and 8 minutes to get to Gatlinburg. We utilized the free Trolley service as well and that was great. Not so good: I picked this home because it had such high ratings on cleanliness- for me it did not meet the standard that it was rated on VRBO. There was lots of dust on fixtures throughout the home, the place mats provided in the kitchen were dirty/sticky, the coffee maker was dirty/slimy, floors need good cleaning, kitchen sink fixture has major build up of calcium, showers/bath need to be scrubbed, bedframes have accumulated dust/hair/fuzz, etc, curtains dusty and very hard to open- hard to enjoy the view if the curtains are difficult to pull back. My biggest issue is the camera placed over the hot tub- this specific camera was not disclosed in the listing details and it is in an area where renters have a reasonable expectation of privacy. I did not consent to being recorded or for my underage children to be recorded while in a hot tub. We covered the camera while the hot tub was in use. This is something any person considering renting this location should know. Overall, we had a great time. I recommend a deep clean of the home and removal of the camera over the hot tub.

The house was absolutely gorgeous. We got to see bears 2 days in a row and we were so excited. The only thing I would change is the things you need to bring being sent earlier then the day of. But overall it was a fantastic stay and can’t wait to come back and do it again for longer.

A few suggestions
Swagman was so close to being perfect! Wanted to share a few suggestions to make it five star! First off, Sabrina was wonderful with communication. Five stars for her. Location is directly between gaitlinburg and pigeon forge. 5 stars for location. House was beautiful. 5 stars for the house. My family stayed for a week, so suggestions I would add to the home to make the full rating five stars- dressers and hangers- there were no dressers or hangers in the closet in the upstairs bedrooms so we had to live out of suitcases on the floor for the week. Hooks in the bathrooms so you could hang your wet towels. Full size mirror- some people would appreciate this. Board games/ card games- for those rainy days when stuck inside or cold winters. Again the stay was wonderful! These are only suggestions to make it a little more comfortable for guest who are staying longer than the weekend. We did see bears almost everyday right outside our cabin! They did not bother us at all. We would stay again, just be a little more prepared next time!

Autumn Stay at Swagman Inn
Sabrina was excellent about communication and made everything so easy! The property was modern and well-equipped, from a fully-stocked kitchen to extra blankets for cozying up to watch a movie, it has everything you need. My family of four adults really enjoyed our stay and each of us would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic well kept property
We were very happy with the property. Everything looks almost new. The bedrooms are good size, especially the master bedroom. The porches are fantastic, we saw eight bears in a week there. The neighborhood pool is nice but very cold, it actually felt good on our muscles after hiking all day!. The road up the mountain to the cabin is like no other, with twists and turns and switch backs. It was a great place to stay and I would stay there again if we go back for some hiking. Thank you

My husband and I and some friends stayed here for a weekend and had a wonderful time. The house was beautiful, all the appliances, the hot tub and fire place worked. We had everything we needed to cook dinner both night we were there. Would highly recommended going again. We did think the house would be a bit more secluded from what you see in the pictures. It didn’t end up being a problem since we weren’t out on the porch too much since it was cold, but the neighbors were a little loud so a little more privacy would have been nice.

House was great, we were there for a little over a week. The only thing that bothered us was there were no dressers so we lived out of suitcases for 8 nights. floors were slightly dirty but overall clean.. didn’t feel dirty. Host was great though and great views from all rooms

My family had a wonderful time staying ar Swagman. The first thing my family saw was how beautiful the cabin looked and we were extremely well pleased with how well the property has been maintained and kept up. The cabin is in a great location to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Sabrina was very helpful and kind and my family will definitely stay here again.

The house was the perfect size for 3 couples. Love the design and set up. The winding mountain roads were a little scary at first but you get used to them. I would not recommend arriving after dark. We met some neighbors while walking and they took us on a bear hunt in their golf cart. We didn’t see any but just missed them! I would recommend bringing beach towels for the hot tub. The kitchen had almost everything- could use some pot holders. Overall, a great house in a beautiful spot.

Girls getaway
This house was amazing and was the perfect getaway for myself, my 3 daughters, granddaughter, & my cousin. We really enjoyed a nightly game of Euchre on the back porch after shopping during the day. One evening a mama bear, her 4 cubs came to visit us, what amazing videos & pictures we got. They walked up the hill, then returned an hour later, standing right next to our vehicles & playing. The only negative is that there wasn’t a Mountain View unless you looked out an upstairs bedroom window.

Pretty house but needs updated description.
The house was large and very beautiful, however the pictures must be older because there is now a house to the left where it appears to have a yard. There was construction on new homes behind us and in front of us that started very early in the morning and was hard to sleep through. We don’t ever get to sleep in so we were looking forward to that on our vacation but the roofing jobs and crews were loud or maybe it echoed through the woods. The comforter on the king bed in the master bedroom had black dog hair all over it, thankfully I was able to use a blanket off another bed until I washed all the sheets the next day. Host did call us in the morning to check in on us and I did tell her about the blanket and she said maybe it needed to be dry cleaned, she was nice but I had already washed all the sheets so I didn’t need anything when she called. The house overall was decent when it came to cleanliness but I did see lots of dirt and dust under the sofas and our bed ( maybe they don’t vacuum under there) there is a vacuum and broom in closet so I just did it myself. Also the description states that there is one camera pointed at the driveway for the guests safety however when we arrived late Friday night we found 3 cameras and one is pointing directly at the hot tub which I found to be extremely creepy. There aren’t any board games like at all the other cabins I’ve visited in Tennessee so bring your own if you enjoy doing that. Also the bath towels are very tiny so you may want to bring your own. If your bringing your dogs just understand there’s not a yard (I picked this house because it looked to have a yard to excercise the dog) there some grass on a slant where your dog can do their thing but not run or excercise. It’s in a neighborhood, no sidewalks but you can walk it to get the dogs some excercise but be careful for bears lol! We had one follow us back to the cabin on our walk and then he started to head up the porch but then he turned around and decided to leave lol. All in all beautiful house, but cleanliness wasn’t the best, pictures were deceiving of green space ( for dogs) and privacy for us wasn’t there with houses being so close together and waking up early to construction wasn’t fun at all! Maybe these are things that don’t bother everyone and maybe it’s the perfect place for you and your family, but I just wanted to post my honest thoughts on it so people have more insight before booking.

Enjoyable Family Vacation
My family of 5 enjoyed our stay at Sawgman's in Gatlinburg and were so grateful we could bring our family dog with us. We had a blast exploring the National Forest and especially the hike to Rainbow Falls. We highly recommend this hike if you are up for it. The location of this cabin was ideal for us. It is easy to get to the town of Gatlinburg or surrounding attractions, but feels more remote, away from the town. We particularly enjoyed the porch. The home has a nice layout for a family. I also appreciated Sabrina's (from Outback Resorts Management Co) responsiveness. She got back in touch with us quickly and assisted with any questions, which was a big help.
