We were given a basement room. Only one elevator was functioning so this became a pain as everyone was going up except the ten or so basement rooms. We waited alot.We got downstairs & there were buffet tables set up in the hallway & people everywhere.Kids were playing kickball in the hall further down. I asked the front desk person & he said these people were using an event hall & had permission to have their buffet line down the hallway. We could hear them loudly in our room &smell the foods. AC/Heat unit cover was hanging on by a prayer & cold air was pouring in. Our Expedia itinerary says check out is noon.The morning we left-
at 11:15- the cleaning lady was in our room while we were sleeping. We asked her to leave & she did. In 10 minutes the maintenance man was banging on the door. He hollered that checkout was at 11 & we needed to get out.I tried to tell him that it was at 12 & he argued that it had changed & we needed to go now. I showed him my itinerary & he countered that they changed it 6 months ago and if I had any questions I could take it up with the desk people- but get out of the room. He was arguing with me in the hallway now. I went to the desk I showed her my itinerary. She said the time had change but they hadn’t had a chance to change it online. I told her what happened with the maintenance man,she was unapologetic but said we could stay till 12 (it was now 11:45) we immediately left.I have never been treated so badly in a business. We will not go back.
