Nestled just on the edge of town on College Drive, this inviting home has the character of a country cabin, but gives you quick access to town. The park-like landscaping in the backyard is not only picturesque, but gives you a peaceful retreat from your backdoor. Children will enjoy the tire swing playset and teepee, but the firepit and the pond with fountain will be a favorite for the adults in the group. The 3D full body massage chair will keep you fully relaxed on your stay.

Four bedrooms with eight beds including a sofa sleeper and also a pack-n-play for small children. Fully outfitted with coffeemaker (pot and K-cup), toaster, dinnerware, cookware, drinkware, knives, utensils, dish soap, hand soap, towels, and shampoo. Also a microwave and an induction cooktop for fast easy cooking. Includes a propane grill on the back deck.

A professional salon sink and chair are available as well as a 3-way full-length mirror for the ladies in your group who want to be pampered.

There is whole house Wi-Fi and the Roku smart TV's make it easy to access free TV as well as your own subscription TV like Netflix, Prime TV, Hulu and more.

Treat yourself to some farm fresh eggs by checking on the chickens in their coop during your stay. Just open the door on the side to access the eggs.

Toys, play set, and tire swing on site for families with kids.

Entire house and yard

We are available during your stay and just a phone call away. We also usually stop by each night briefly to feed the chickens (spring, summer, fall) so we are available with any questions at that time as well.

Bike or drive as you are just a couple minutes from the Upper Iowa River, Luther College, coffee shops, breweries, shops and more.

Parking is available on the property for several cars.

Owner is a professional make-up artist and photographer. If Amy is available, guests could schedule a makeover with her in the house salon for a separate fee.

Rustic decor with lots of modern amenities
The owner contact through the VRBO text app was immediately responsive, as in, within seconds! The house was charming, cozy, roomy and well supplied. The price was perfect for our budget. We are a group of 8 retired women hikers so really enjoyed the massage chair downstairs at the end of the day! The chickens in the little coop were sweet and politely friendly and not noisy. So fun to visit every day. We didn't have time to gather and cook the few eggs offered up, but how wonderful to have had the option. The location was perfect. A few minor fixes would create an even more perfect haven, such as towel hooks in the bathroom, a fitted sheet for the pull out sofabed, bunk beds that don't sqeek loudly with every movement, and maybe some padding on the bunk bed ladder (painful climbing with bare feet). And a thorough cleaning of the washer to prevent mildew. I am told that front loaders are notorious for odor if the door isn't left ajar at all times? The fire pit area was so wonderful, though we didn't start a fire because of the burning ban and the dry dry weather conditions. Maybe next time. Thank you hosts for a wonderful two night's stay!

Wonderful location and plenty to do
Clean home with plenty of space and items you need for your stay, beautiful yard and quiet location. Communication with property owner is immediate, very responsive. The home is located minutes from downtown Decorah. We were amazed at all Decorah had to offer - history, culture, arts, shops, coffee, excellent food, breweries, hiking trails - plenty to do indoors and outdoors. If you are headed to Decorah, stay at this rental. 10 out of 5 stars - above and beyond out expectations!

excellent house for games, dinner, gather with friends-any time of the year!
Jackson and Amy are very accommodating-communicate very well-and provide a space that's so cozy and comfortable-even for our large group of 9 (7 students, 2 chaperones) The massage chair, and large TV with Roku--is amazing. Kitchen has everything we needed -after a trip to Fareway-for breakfasts and lunch supplies. Fireplace upstairs-easy to operate and very nice to have. Special touch-the Christmas tree-still up in this early part of January. Thank you! Strongly recommend for a get-a-way!

Fall Getaway
Came to town to do some fall hiking with some family and friends. The house was perfect for the little boys. They loved the hill in the backyard and the adults loved the firepit. The house is much larger inside than it appears from the outside. We had a great visit and experience at this house.

Girls week
Every year my sisters and our daughters go on a weeks vacation. This year we chose Decorah. The property was very nice. We all had our own beds. The town had a lot of very nice restaurants and the shopping was great. We visited the cave in Harmony,Mn. We also visited a winery, brewery, distillery. We will spray here again on our next visit an recommend it to our friends.

Plenty of space for the toddler to safely roam both inside and out, and for the adults to kick a soccer ball. The chickens and their eggs were a bonus! Comfortable furniture and a well-equipped kitchen. Massage chair was fabulous! High chair and infant swing were very convenient. 3 minute drive to downtown, close to Luna Farms, Seed Savers and Dunning Springs.

The property was a perfect fit for our group. Unfortunately it rained(however rain is much needed in the area). The kids ran around in the rain in the front yard, which was fun for them. The kids also had their own space in the basement which they loved. They checked for eggs each day and were excited to find them which we had for breakfast. The adults were able to catch up with each other in their own space upstairs. Amy wanted to be sure if I needed anything not to hesitate to contact her, she is close by. Place is a country setting right in town. Nice

Country get away
Love the barn style decor of the house. Plenty of room to hang out. Nice massage chair and salon. Our youngest spent alot of time on the tire swing. Some suggestions would be the bunk bed creeks everytime you move so the girls didn’t sleep too well. 😂 And there are house numbers on the mailbox, but you can’t see them if you are coming in late at night so maybe a bigger sign would help. Other than that, loved the place and the stay.

relax, connect, great experience!
Jackson and Amy provide everything a group, or couples, or get-away mini-vacation any time of the year. Very close to Luther Campus-so I could transport my singers easily - to drop off for rehearsals, and even come back to the VRBO for lunch. Good sized- table, for eating and board games. Of course the massage chair is an amazing perk! Having 2 bathrooms was, of course, very important. This is an amazing place-my students and I were very comfortable here.

We truly enjoyed our 2 nights. We arrived to find Amy there working to get the backyard fountain going because she wanted us to be able to enjoy it during our stay...very nice! I appreciated all of the fun touches in the home. The coffee mugs and dishes were VERY nice! The location was great for us. We were able to ride our bikes into town. Would definitely stay there again!
