We are four adult women who do “crafting” weekends a couple of times a year. The house was perfect for our needs. Plenty of room, comfy couch and beds.
Keep in mind - this house is “off the beaten path!” A few miles of dirt roads and a very steep driveway. (We all have vehicles that do well in the snow, so no problem for us.) The house sits at about 8500 feet and is tucked back in the hills north of Florissant - not really close to any stores/restaurants - but for our purposes, it was great. We generally bring enough food/drink to cover many days - even though we stay only three nights!
House was clean, kitchen well stocked with dishes, flatware, utensils, and pots/pans. Fire in the cast iron stove heats house up nicely. Property manager lives down the road. She was very responsive when we tripped the breaker on our first morning there. She came right over and flipped the breaker back on (which was behind a locked door - so we couldn’t access.). NOTE: This was NO fault of the manager or owner - one of our Ottlites shorted out!
Since it’s winter - icy/snowy, and VERY cold outside, we did NOT venture to the dry cabin. But it is heated and a very short walk up the hill from the house. It would probably be pretty nice in the summer!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!
