Open up the sliding doors to the balcony and look down on America's paradise. This spacious condo on the beach with an open floor plan and high ceilings easily sleeps 4 people with a master loft bedroom above and a beautifully made cherry Murphy bed on the main floor.
The condo is freshly painted with all new furniture and linens. We tore out and modernized the kitchen. The beds both have new memory foam mattresses so after a day of playing on the beach you can get a good nights sleep. The unit is fully air conditioned with two bathrooms for everyone's comfort.
Down a flight of stairs, the beach awaits with hammocks available to laze the day away in the beautiful ocean breezes or kayaks for the more adventurous. The clear waters and bay that is protected by a reef are great for kids to swim in or for beginning snorkelers to learn how to breathe underwater. The sea grass in the water supports lots of marine life including baby sea turtles and small fish.
Or, if you re a swimming pool baby, you can swim in the 80 foot pool with attached hot tub. If you just want to sit on the beach with a book, there are little huts with lawn chairs where you can relax in the shade with an iced drink.
Located onsite, is a restaurant where you can order a great meal and enjoy some of the island's famous rum drinks. Bonus: you can get the drinks to go. :)
We do recommend that you rent a car when you are down here: Uber is non-existent and cabs are few and far between. The condo complex has ample parking spaces, and there is often a space right in front of the condo entrance.
Located nearby, are a couple of supermarkets as well as downtown Christiansted about 5 minutes down the road where you can enjoy duty-free shopping of the local Chaney jewelry and Cruzan rum. For fresh produce, there is a wonderful farmer's market selling all kinds of fresh fruits, vegetables and eggs located in the center of the island.
If you go on the balcony and look to the northeast, you ll see Buck Island in the distance. Day trips to Buck Island National Monument are available in St. Croix with snorkel lessons at no extra charge. Once there, you can snorkel amongst the beautiful coral reefs, watch sea turtles and colorful fish swim past you and dig your feet into the fine gleaming white sand. Known as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world by National Geographic, Turtle Beach on Buck Island is a trip you'll definitely want to make.
