The check-in was slightly chaotic as we didn't know where or how to park. They asked us to pay when the money had been applied for from my accont 2 days before we arrrived which rather surprised me. The room is lovely, modern and clean. We had a bit of a rude awakening when a maintenance team tried to get in unannounced at 8.00am. Breakfast is lovely but if you like decent food don't bargain on finding anywhere to eat in Cardigan on a Sunday evening.

Staying in a castle was lovely,rooms so clean and comfortable,staff at the castle and the restaurant were so friendly all in all a marvellous experience

We had a wonderful one night stay, everything was amazing. Only one thing that I would have a moan about is the parking, not being sent a code to get into the grounds of the castle. Also not being given directions on how to find the gate that takes you into the grounds. Other than that everything was really good.

This property is a great base to explore the rest of Cardiganshire , whilst enjoying top B&B facilities along with free entrance to the historic site and private free parking within the secure grounds of the Historic Castle. Fabulous breakfast provide within its onsite restaurant 1176 you should not be disappointed and is excellent value for money

Lovely gem of a hotel/guesthouse. The rooms are spacious and sparkling clean with lots of tea and coffee. The hotel isn’t always manned so it’s best to let them know when you plan to arrive and when you’d like breakfast (breakfast is served from 8.30am which might be a bit late for some) The restaurant:cafe will open to enable an earlier time. There is a dedicated car park and the keys to your room can be obtained from a keypad on the wall outside. The hotel usually sends an email about this. If you don’t receive the email before arrival - contact them beforehand!! Overall really lovely. Thank you

Overall good..Except that there isn't lift to the top floor ..People with heavy bulky luggage should be careful!Slight noise from a nearby pub was heard in our room till midnight on saturday.But not a big concern.Vegans have limited option for breakfast..But still value for money.Well maintained cosy clean rooms..Children would love to stay here as there is a play area and places to walk around..Good place for Families.

nice room poor access

Pros: good location. nice to be at the hub of the castle grounds.
Cons: car parking tight very steep walk to rooms. bar & restaurant not open after 4pm.
Location: good for local beaches & seaside resorts.
stairs narrow & steep for us. low ceiling beams. double bed uncomfortable. good breakfast. alas no evening meal or bar available.

Ideal for a relaxing break

Pros: Excellent facilities
Cons: Nothing
Location: Quaint shops on the high street including a super old fashioned sweet shop and the town's market has a variety of stalls.
Excellent facilities with well thought out layout which includes two armchairs - a rarity in most accommodation. A smart television was included in our room with a decent instant coffee as opposed to the usual N******. With easy access to local attractions, this proved an ideal base for a few relaxing days away from the bustle of life. Highly recommended.
