Quiet neighborhood with some narrow but paved roads. 18 mph speed limit in the Friendly Mountain Acres community.

Up to 5 cars can be parked on the driveway. The road to the property is paved and well-maintained. 4-wheel drive is highly recommended during winter months (November to March). Always check the weather before traveling. Highly recommend a 4-wheel drive. Reservations will not be modified or cancelled due to weather concerns.

Home is located in well maintained neighborhood with a contracted snow-plower, but winter weather can vary thus precaution is always a good idea. We recommend a 4 wheel drive vehicle (and chains) when visiting during winter. Refunds will not be issued due to inclement weather. Please purchase travel insurance to avoid disappointment.

Up to 2 dogs allowed. Maximum weight limit is 50 lbs. $195 fee for first dog. $150 fee for second dog. See rental agreement for more details.

Amazing stay with multiple families. Everyone had their own private bathroom. Listing was accurate. Private and quiet but also close to town. Well stocked kitchen (lots of utensils, plates, cups, small appliances) and everything was in great condition. Beds were very comfy! Host responded immediately.

Location is amazing
House is just as pictured and far more supplied than most houses we rent. So close to downtown Blowing Rock and Boone so lots to do. (Once you get used to the steep drive up to the house) We did have some issues with the dishwasher and pin ball machine not working but Nadia did her best to help and her customer service is excellent.

Luxury everywhere you turn at this gorgeous home! So much to compliment~cleanliness, exquisite bedding and bath linens, high end appliances, enjoyable game and media rooms, with absolute ease of checking in and checking out. Our family cannot wait to return as this home is ideally located right between Blowing Rock and Boone. As a fellow VRBO host, there are numerous ideas and considerations that I will be using at our homes on the coast. WONDERFUL, inside, outside and the hostess is exceptional
We stayed 6 nights over the Christmas holiday. We had beautiful and rainy weather. Everything we had hoped the house would be for our 6 adults and 5 young children turned out to be remarkable, memorable, and unique, right down to the beautiful Christmas decorations! We had lack for nothing, from the hot tub and fire pit outside to the comfortable furnishings, to the theatre, to the games area, we had a relaxing and fun time. The hostess, Nadia, went above and beyond more than I could have ever expected, making our stay superb. Her thoughtfulness was in every detail. You don't want to be disappointed? Stay here!

Annual mountain trip
Our friend group visits this area annually - and have done so for many years. As our families grow, so do our needs. This house didn’t miss a single need! The kitchen is fully stocked as far as appliances and kitchenware - we did not have to go to a store for anything but food. The beds were so comfortable, we requested the mattress type, as well as, pillows, sheets, etc. - and the homeowner was extremely responsive (for all questions, actually) with links to each product. Pack and plays, high chairs, etc. for those with little ones! This home was designed with impeccable taste and comfort in mind, and the location is absolutely perfect; 10 minutes to many adventures and outings! Thankful for a very responsive host, who thought of every detail for her guests. Cannot wait to come back!

Five Star Stay! Beautiful Mountain Home!
Firstly, I have to give HUGE THANKS to Nadia for being the most excellent host and so accommodating for our wedding week/weekend!! She was always quick to communicate when we had any questions, allowed an early check-in when we arrived to town sooner than expected, and even left a welcome basket for us. She seriously went above and beyond! Now for the house… so often you see beautiful pictures online that don’t measure up upon arrival, but this home exceeded all expectations!! This was honestly the most well-appointed and beautiful home we’ve ever rented. The kitchen is fully stocked with all of the utensils, dishes, and appliances you could possibly need. The beds were incredibly comfortable - I think every family member commented on their excellent sleep. The game room and theatre were both fun additions for our large group and we spent LOTS of time downstairs. But most of all, the location was amazing!!! You feel like you are way up in the mountains and far from civilization, but you are actually just a couple of minutes from town so it’s an easy trip to the store if you need anything. Moral of the story is - RENT THIS PLACE! We would absolutely return again should the opportunity present itself and had the most excellent time while we were there. It was the perfect location for a large family gathering (we had 12 total people but there were still empty beds for more!) and the most beautiful home base for our wedding weekend. Thanks again!!

Amazing house!
We had a 60th birthday party with a group of 12 adults and had a blast! The house is beautiful and everyone was literally in awe of all the details that made it unique. The outdoor projector and firepit was great and the indoor theatre as well. We went to Land of Oz and then watched Wizard of Oz as a group. The beds were magical and everyone commented on how well they slept, even our insomniacs. The porch was great for coffee and meals together with lots of lovely conversation. Our coffee enthusiast gave the coffee bar 2 thumbs up and multiple cups were had to get the day going. The hot tub was perfect and in great condition. All the games downstairs were fun, and though we had great weather, would help if there was a rainy day. My daughter is on App campus and that was a 10 minute drive away, so very convenient. Nadia was prompt and helpful in any communication we sent. This is a 5 1/2 star stay. You will not regret it! Roads are steep and winding, so in winter would have to be mindful of that! We are grateful to have had such a lovely long weekend together!

Great Summer Family Trip
From the booking process to check out the experience was seamless. Our host, Nadia was simply superb in her attentiveness in the months prior to our check in until check out. The property is simply perfect for family gatherings with amazing amenities. The home was beautiful and comfortable. It is situated conveniently between Boone and Blowing Rock. Nearby restaurants were also amazing! We spent one day at Lake Watauga about 45 minutes away … a perfect addition to an already great week. We are anxious to return. A rare true 5 star experience.

Ultimate Family Gathering Spot!
Perfect get away for a large family. My husband and I hosted our four adult children and eight grandchildren age seven and under. This property had room for all. We had a long weekend of winter fun. House was relaxing and had everything we needed. Kids had a great time in game room and theater. This house is amazing! Great for friends or family, close to Blowing Rock and Boone, lots of fun things to do, especially in the awesome game room.
