Missed alarm call

Pros: Bed very comfortable, room very clean
Cons: Alarm calls especially for passsengers off long haul flights
Location: Massive building works going on right next to hotel Very central
Arrived after long flight from England looking forward to along relaxing bath. No such luck, showers only, shocked as I expected a hotel of this standard to have bathrooms not shower rooms. Offered a coffee as compensation, Requested an early morning alarm call at 6 am , stated how important it was because I was leaving Auckland by train and had to be at the Strand railway station on time, also asked for another call at 6:15 to make sure.neither calls were made, fortunately I woke at 6:30 am and had to dash round in a panic to get ready. An alarm call came through at about 6.45am no apology for it’s lateness, I did not have time for breakfast . In to much of a rush to complain to management but will do so when I reach my onward destination. No baths in ‘standard rooms, and no reliable alarm calls, would not recommend and not use again sadly.

All of our rooms have shower, only our Executive suites have a bath, i am very sorry if it was not fully explained to you. I am very sorry as well to learn your discomfort and frustration you endured during your visit. I have passed along your comments to our Front Office Manager, she will use your feedback for training purposes and take the necessary steps to prevent similar occurrence.
