If you are looking for a place to stay near Mt.Rainier NP without breaking the bank, this might be a good option for you.
Just some things to consider...
First of all, I was shocked to find that this joint had such high ratings (even though most of the positive comments are about ice cream and pizza). I know part of the charm of this place is "roughing it" so when we arrived and realized there was no TV in the room, my reaction was "okay, oh well". But my wife and I arrived to a hot room with no air conditioning and two small fans. Both were caked in dirt/dust and one didn't even work.
Upon further inspection of the bathroom, shower and toilet were in desperate need of a good scrubbing. Water temperature and pressure were inconsistent. Ive taken better showers at backwoods campgrounds. The cherry on top was the rock-hard beds that prevented us from getting a good night's rest.
TLDR - probably best to spend a few extra bucks for 21st century amemities and a clean room somewhere else, but to each their own.
