Good location for big groups
It is not in the heart of the city, but is only a 15-45 minute tram ride away from many of the major sites in Amsterdam.
One of the few locations we found that can fit a bunch of people. We had seven with one couple and everyone had their own rooms (couple sharing).
Bathrooms are good. Shower on the second floor is a little small/awkward. Water pressure in the shower on the third floor is just okay.
WiFi was good, however you can lose reception on the third floor in some rooms.
Stairs are a bit steep, would not recommend for someone who has a tough time getting up and down flights of steps.
Host is very responsive. We had an issue with the air conditioner in one room and he was there within the hour.
Dryer is a standard European dryer. Translation for Americans, it takes a long time to dry or barely dries at all. Make sure to drain the water bucket on this before doing any loads. There is no tube/piping to carry away water from the dryer. You may have to hang dry things, which can be an issue if you have a quick turnaround.
All in all, a good place to stay if you want to visit Amsterdam with a larger group.
