I just bought this property in October 2023 so there are not many reviews yet. Please look at my other house, VRBO # 2314133, for an idea of what the reviews will be like.

Discover your perfect secluded escape nestled in the woods of the Poconos. Peace and tranquility await you in this newly constructed & beautifully designed pet-friendly chalet surrounded by 50ft pine trees. This 4 bedroom 3 bath beautifully furnished retreat offers outdoor fun with a hot tub, fire pit, and huge wrap-around deck. Inside, you will find a spacious kitchen, gas fireplace, and large game room equipped with a full-sized pool table, poker/game table, widescreen smart TV, and classic arcade game.

Ski Trip with Kids
First, I’ll say that the house is adorably decorated for the holidays, there were even candy canes upon arrival for the children. It’s very convenient to the mountains for skiing and has plenty of sleeping space. We booked this house excited for the bunk bed room where 3 kids could sleep and the adults could hang in the family room once they went to bed. Unfortunately we had issues with the downstairs level of the house where the bottom bunk was broken and there was a very strong sewage smell throughout the first floor of the house that the kids couldn’t even sleep downstairs comfortably. We were able to move the mattresses elsewhere, but it was very inconvenient to find space for three kids in the rest of the house while still being able to use the shared space after bedtime. There were many air fresheners on the lower level, seems that this was a known issue. The smell emanated through the bathrooms in the upper floors as well, making it very unpleasant - even with candles and air fresheners. We ended up leaving a day early because we couldn’t fully enjoy the house.

Beautiful House
Charlie and Gloria were wonderful and gracious hosts. I asked a million question and they responded promptly without any issues. The house is beautiful and well kept. The only issue I had is that some of the bathrooms weee not thoroughly cleaned (some hair left in sinks and showers and the bedroom doors didn’t lock. This isn’t the property owner fault but maybe the cleaning co leaky they have come in. I would highly recommend staying at this home and I will again. Thank you

Perfect Get-A-Way House!
This was the perfect house for our Friendsgiving mini-vacation. We loved experiencing the first snowfall of the season. All three families (total of 6 adults and 6 kids) had ample space to spread out and relax, and still be together. The house was clean and stocked with linens, soaps, trash bags and basic necessities. The house binder helped with “how to” for heat/hot tub/ fireplace. Owners might want to add a page about running the dehumidifier in the basement to help mitigate the sitting water smell. The house is on a private street, perfect location for all!

Great stay!
We took a little family vacation and so enjoyed it! The house was as described and in a beautiful location. Charlie and Gloria were extremely responsive when we had questions about the fireplace and a few other small issues that came up. The beds upstairs were hard- if that’s something that bothers you it’s nice to know. We ended up sleeping on the futon 😅. Checkin was smooth and easy too!

Great place!
Great place! The kids had a blast with the hot tub and pool table and everyone appreciated how close it was to Jim Thorpe. My only critiques would be that we could’ve used a few more bath towels and the kitchen could’ve been better stocked with a few more essentials like measuring cups. However, these were very minor issues and didn’t take away from our experience at all. I only mention so that maybe they can be remedied for future guests.

Friends Getaway
Wonderful time in the Poconos. A little colder than expected for beginning of September but the camp fires helped at night. A lot to do in area and house. Don’t forget relaxing. Overall everything was nice a couple things may have to be replaced/updated soon.

The property is beautiful and quiet. I had an 11 person group and we fit there perfectly (with space). Its a little far from any big stores but that wasn't a problem at all.

Overall every thing in property description was accurate. Asked my 5 other senior golfers for comments and only a couple negs. The hot tub registered 103 and we could not increase it, water was warm but not ‘hot’ possibly us. Initially we could not get the main tv connected though followed Simon directions and have done similar hook ups. Charlie was prompt in response, including internet providers name. About an hour of trial later the network had been down, and it got back on line. One problem, the entrance to the community was atrovious, full of tire buster pot jokes, a disgrace to the community owners or association. Out be corrected. Thanks again to Charlie for his prompt attention and communications.

Nice Getaway
We had a group of 9 who all were able to have enough space and comfort to meet our needs. The fire pit and pool table were where we spent most of our time. The kitchen had enough essentials to make our meals. The house felt really cozy and comfortable. It also felt secluded but still close to some local grocery places to get things you forgot. We spent most of Saturday at Hickory Run State Park which was a lot of fun!
